I purchased Horizons when it came out and I played it. And no, no remorse. I'm glad I bought it. Well, I got into a new game a shortly before Engineers dropped. I decided to catch up on E
again and figured with all the new stuff, I would do a Wipe Save. I know what I'm doing and getting back up to speed isn't that hard. So I wiped and I'm back at Trevethick. No missions at all. Nice graphics on the mission board, but they act like I'm some kind of a total noobie (Which, to them, I guess I am) acting like I'm wasting their time. But then I hear "Important communication incoming." What the heck? So I look and there's a message saying go to Ervate and we'll pay you 10,000 credits. Cool. So I go there to Sylvester City and they pay me the money. Nice. Not quite 11,000 credits in my account. Another faction has a mission to deliver data to a station for 14k. Great! So I'm enroute and when I get to the system I hear, "Incoming mission critical message. So I look at it and they are telling me if I can get the data to them in less than 5 minutes, they'll give me a bonus of 37k. Huh? No problem.
So I get to the station and start hearing voice comms. I ask for docking and it actually tells me audibly that clearance is granted for pad 21. What? That is just too cool. Then when I'm docking I hear "100 meters to touchdown." The upshot is I have a bit over 61k after about 10 minutes of playing.
I knew this game was going to be something special and it's beginning to be. This just blows me away. It was like I was actually in space. And the earnings of in-game credits is great. Much better than when I started in December of 2014.
