JW3 - My Top 4 theories which leads into most wanted list and ideas.

So I was going to just do a top 10 best things I want to see “cough” riverboat ride “cough” but instead I’ve watched the trailers and we’ll I have questions and then it got me thinking.

So here is my top 4 theories about the game and somehow wish list as well.

1. DIN is the enemy?
Something I’ve mentioned before as an idea for JWE3 would be missions done in the side of hero characters and villianous ones too. Because I think it would make the game intriguing.
When I saw that you’re now working for DIN and there is a revival hacker group that wants DIN to stop what it’s doing. Interestingly Dennis Nedry’s “you didn’t say the magic word” I think is a clue but I don’t think it’s a Nedry return persay. Because he died. However it got me thinking about something else, more specifically someone else. During the Jurassic Park/World movies there are several characters who has yet to return yet their characters survived. Nick Van Owen played by Vince Vaughn is one of them. He was an Earth First activist. Working for Hammond as a backup plan. Well what happened to him after Lost World? Nobody really knows. If he continued his activism ways in the age of 2025 then yeah activism and anti-DIN could potentially make sense if you consider DIN building parks for wealthy investors not considering the fundermentals of dinosaur safty. This is DIN really the evil corporation and is the activist group Nick Van Owen and several other surviving characters.

Now this could be one way to do it. But let’s say you couldn’t use Nick Van Owen for some legal reason. There are other characters involved in Hacking and Activisim in the form of the plot of Jurassic World Chaos Theory the sequel to Camp Cretaceous.

Thoughts?

2. There is a river tour But it’s not designed after the Universal Island Of Adventures ride.

It’s what people wanted and even myself but it’s meta within meta. The theme park built that design for that ride and is part of the real world and Jurassic park has only written about it and other than a canoe tour in JW1 movie we haven’t actually seen that officially.

However as Frontieer are bringing in customisation into the game. I believe that will extend into rides as well. So I think what you get will be a generic water ride with maybe 5 variation looks to it. But totally customisable for people to use. This is better than just having a adventure ride design ship that would be very limiting I’n other themes other than JP

3. There are more locations than what is presented. And More locations In future DLCs

Bear in mind as in typical fashion Frontieer has given a 2/3 year of DLC’s for each of their games once it was released. So I would be certain that JW3 will be the swan song and if let’s say this was the last game they make I figure you would want to give everyone everything.

The locations revealed so far I figure is actually new locations and somewhat referencing the movies worth Malta and dolomites but I think it’s going to be a little bit more of newer regions.

What isn’t shown are the movie locations which will be in the game. What you saw in the trailer I figure is campaign locations. Which is why when you see Malta and Dolomites might not be exactly those locations but something else.

4. Chaos Theory will return but it will be called something else.

JWE2 Chaos Theory was a love letter to the original movies. But there is now a problem from then to now. The animated show Jurassic World Chaos Theory. Now as Universal issues the license I guess there would be a do and don’t list for this game. As they are marketing JWCT for Netflix they probably don’t want to confuse the audience with Chaos Theory as a name in the game so I think the reason we haven’t seen it is because it’s going to be renamed and that’s why we haven’t seen it on reveal.

Legacy - would make a much better name to replace it with. Chaos theory only had 6 movies but with rebirth and the animated series it gives us a lot more room for Legacy Missions.

1. The problem with switching sides is that the hacker group in the gameplay trailer is firmly Anti-dinosaur. If you watch at 0.25x speed, the messages that flash up are "Why choose them over us" and "Humanity first".

In terms of characters that dislike dinosaurs, and might support that side, Ian Malcom springs to mind, Lambert and other Security characters might also. Though any character might swing that way if they lost loved ones to dinosaurs.

2. "Leaving dry land to gain a new perspective" gives more oceanic imagery to me, so might be more a lagoon ride.

3. There are 9 maps that were shown to youtubers, Montana, Nevada, Hawaii, Azores, Biosyn Valley, Malta, China, Japan & Indonesia. The star count was out of 50, so it's inferred to be 10 maps altogether. They do seem to be unlocked in some sort of story order.

More maps in DLC seems to have high potential:
  • Ile Saint Hubert in a Rebirth DLC,
  • Dubai and/or Senegal in a Chaos Theory DLC,
  • Maps and building sets with continent themed DLCs

4. Chaos Theory mode seems unlikely to come back, but I could see the Azores and Japan challenge modes being JP era.

My hope personally is that Challenge mode is more varied, a mix of long form and short form, like the photo challenge, or Missions from JPOG (it is double what JWE2 started with).

1. I understand where you’re coming from but it’s also counter intuitive as the group as you say is anti dinosaur however it depends on how you look at it.
Hammond built a park. It failed and became a preservationist
Peter Ludlow atempted to relaunch San Diego and failed. Nick was sent to sabotage the effort.
Masrani, Dr Wu, Benjamin Lockwood and Lewis Dodgeson tried to do the same it failed. So the question of why choose dinos over us could refer to a view point of human safety over industrialist capitalising on a dangerous venture.
An activist is what the hackers are. There for anyone from Nick van Owen, to Owen Grady and Ian Malcolm could be valid considerations when you take that ideology

2. Agree, ballon gives air, tour gives land, river ride works

3. My point with the maps is we have only seen the campaign maps. Take JW2 Jurassic world, or any of the Chaos Mode maps wasn’t part of the campaign missions. Apart from dominion as that was a later dlc.
My view is we have only seen campaign maps and there for i figure time challenge might have their own maps as well and if they bring a new chaos mode of past stories too.

4. There is many avenues for chaos mode to continue because those new mechanics and different design plan it would be insane to miss building Jurassic park as accurate as possible in a ground breaking 3rd instalment and not have that in.
But there is many perspectives to be had. More locations to base unique stories on. For example Isla Sorna pre Jurassic Park era.na station that is up and running to build dinos hasn’t been seen on screen. Plus multiple areas not filmed in Jurassic park itself, chaos mode fills that void and removing it would be silly.

1. I don't know that Nick is an activist exactly, he claims to have joined Greenpeace for the women (his humour is basically lying, so it is hard to tell what's true). He does strike me more as an anarchist, anti-authoritarian, with empathy for animals.

3. Challenge mode on the website specifically says it's the Campaign locations, while Sandbox specifies Campaign and former title locations. Given there's 10 maps, it is more scenarios than JWE2 started with. Given sandbox has old maps, it does stand to reason that over time, free updates will add Challenge mode scenarios to those old maps, like was done for JWE2.

4. There's no incentive for Frontier to spend money/time on recreating the entirety of Jurassic Park accurately, people aren't buying the game for it. Players can and likely will do it themselves and share it on the workshop.

I could see there being another DLC campaign set in the past, given there's a few things requested from the Lost World.
