I was just stating that I disagree as I know dinosaurs to be reptiles and birds to birds. Not saying that there isn't some similarities as that can be said of animals on the most basic levels.
When I talked about the shifting of weight. The center of balance is more precise on a bird due to needing it being symmetrical in order to achieve flight. Even though bird tails can attribute to balance it isn't a part of the issue of having precise number and location of feathers on both sides of the body. Otherwise the bird wouldn't be able to fly.
A dinosaur is like a version of an alligator or lizard that can hold dense muscle due to the skeleton versus that of a bird that can not and doesn't. The bones density of a dinosaur versus that of a bird is of course more dense and compact. There are those dinos that do have some hallowing out of bone but the construction is nothing like that of a bird's. To say they are similar is just as saying it can be compared to the hallowing of any other boned creature. Though each has different levels and construction of those hallowing bones.
The thigh bone also known as the femur are visible when looking at that of a reptile, mammal and human. They are not visible with birds as they are housed within in helping with keeping to the stability of balance as well as for flight to be achieved. Even birds that are flightless, have their femurs invisible in comparison to reptiles (dinosaurs).
The so called scales on bird's feet are not the same as that of a reptile. Same as the skin of a bird is not the same as a reptile. Reptile skin/scales can't house feathers. Dinosaurs don't have feathers as they are reptiles. I know there were several people once upon a time said that is what they found but it wasn't true. Many recanted but several don't even though the evidence shows that as these reptiles have scales and not bird like skin nor feathers. The soft stretchy flesh of dinosaurs even prove this further.
We could go through the differences and similarities of the dinosaurs to others just we could for any other animals. The differences make the biggest part to that of birds and that should be the focus as it surely shows that they are reptiles. The fossilized organs of dinosaurs are identical to reptile organs of today. Not birds, not mammals, nothing but reptiles and so are many other things.
However we know that this franchise holds strong to the narrative when speaking of dinosaurs and similarities to birds as Alan Grant as said a few times. Even to the concept of evolving into birds which I know not to be true but that's that.
A good read if you are interested would be: "Dinosaurs: Marvels of God's Design" by Dr. Tim Clarey.

Getting back to the animations, they could be smoother and I hope in JWE2 that they will be.
