JWE 2

Not just returning, but also remodeled to be closer to the movie one, which is pretty cool.

The reveal of a Tupandactylus imperator is pretty cool too, those patriotic Brazilians will certainly love having yet another species (this time it's from the slightly older Crato formation, rather than the Romualdo formation that Tropeognathus and Cearadactylus are from).
Paying closer attention, it probably is Tapejara (strongly downturned beak, head projection that isn't long enough), but seeing it riled up a certain someone that doesn't look up, I'm just going to pretend nothing changed.

South American themed areas are shaping up to be pretty decent, 8 species so far assuming all the old ones come back.
Tupandactylus, Tapejara, it's T. imperator either way (one is current, the other's from 20 years ago).
Considering how Tupandactylus was discovered before Tapejara, it would be more accurate to say that Tapejara is nothing more than a Tupandactylus wannabe.
Then blame the media, they never ever showed to me the Tupandactylus, EVER, no book, no media, no series, no nothing, The Tapejara is EVERY WHERE, in every game, book ect ect.

Explain. To. Me. The. Reason. The. Freaking. World. Ignored. Tupandactylus. And. Made. Tapejara. Into. An. Prehistoric. Idol.

Is this dino-racism? Are you serious? Or is Tapejara found in USA? and Tupandactylus isn't? Again, world-racism.
Tapejara was both uncovered and described in 1989 from Brazil. The first Tupandactylus was first discovered and described in 1997 (imperator), but as a species of Tapejara. The second validly described Tupandactylus species was discovered and known as far back as 1998, but it wouldn't be given a formal scientific name until a 2003 publication (navigans). In subsequent years, a re-description was in progress after attributing the the 1997 and 2003 species apart from Tapejara, both which have more well known preserved crests, also from Brazil. Both said Tapejara species were then moved to a new genus, Tupandactylus, first published in 2007, between that year and 2011 respectively.

Nobody actually, truly knows for sure what the exact crest shape of Tapejara in and of itself was like. The Tupa-like crest is just one idea/theory/possibility, and a fairly common one too. So often online folks make things like, “Only the Tupa is known with such shapes and not Tapejara itself, so obviously it’s hard or off that it didn’t, and because other people make distinct restorations for it.” And I’m just like, “Okay. Poorly preserved Tapejara skulls don’t represent a tupa-like crest shape, and lots of restorations for it make distinct from the other, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s hard evidence the genus in and of itself was exactly that way.” I mean, we’ve recently described a differing crest shape attributed to the 2003 Tupa from what was only known already, and one idea suggests it may be evidence of male and female dimorphism for the 1997 Tupa, making the 2003 and 1997 species being one of the same, maybe. So, who knows what the Tupa’s related species, Tapejara was really like? The jury is still out there.

If this pterosaur in the game is Tapajara, then it's just one in a game that bases upon a common, more well known reconstruction idea//theory/possibility.

So as i got the game already, i should have got it on the 5th but seems like it was there earlier (Before you ask i live in a small country in europe and the shops here advertise with playing before release its nothing unusual here so they send it away the day they get it)

So i played 7 hours today.

If you liked JWE you will love JWE2
Graphics definitely a notch higher also 60 fps now(Series x). But not native 4k guess dynamic or whatever. Looks great overall, quite a beauty actually HDR works perfectly. 2 Issues are there: sometimes a short stutter when placing a building occurs and dinos move weird sometimes. Maybe missing day 1 patch who knows. But nothing major. Game is installed in a few minutes from disc its quite small gb wise.

Typical game where you start and then 5 hours have passed without you realizing it🥲. You guys will have fun. Cant wait to play again but its late already. 🤯 forgive me my english its been long i was in school lol. Good in german and french tho :)

Be nice if it was but so far no news of it being in game. We have yet to know the full roster of animals. Think they are keeping it under wraps till release. I think we will eventually get a couple of new raptors based on a possible JWD DLC, but will have to wait till it is closer to the movie release.
i wonder if the dinosaurs will fight more realistic

Well... Parasaurolophus did nothing to defend itself from the raptors, so the carnivores are still silly overpowered...

Not entirely true. Saw them buck and kick though think that it does need more balancing. I'm concerned with the carnivores like rex going after sauropods. Taking a bite and the sauropod did absolutely nothing to defend itself. No whacking with tail, stomping, front kick and etc. I hope frontier realizes that herbivores are not just meat sacks or just there to lose. There should be herd mentality, herd defense as well as individual survival actions for self preservation. Herbivores today are not weak, they fight back and sometimes win. I hope we see that in game or hope for it to be fixed. We have yet to see full on herbivores fight one another. Same for aquatics and the pterosaurs.

We already know that Ankylosaurus and triceratops will work together to defend their joint herd

So we don't have what you said.
Well, just because we have not seen it yet, does not mean that it's not there. It could be something Frontier has kept under wraps. We have not seen any game play showing a carno or pack hunt on a mixed species herd from anyone. Maybe no one tried it? We will know for sure in 7 days.
