JWE 2

That's really such ***hole Behavior. Reminds me of those News Articles always popping up with The Walking Dead Spoilers directly in the Title 😡
Those YouTubers could at least put a Spoiler Warning at the Beginning of the Video

The annoying thing is I wanted to seek out some vids talking about gameplay and mechanics like scientist managements, rnager vehicle how they work in real time and tips, and territories for dinos (NOT narrative) because all the systems that kept being revealed to be a 'constantly watch while managing your park' had me feeling overwhelmed and I wanted a better explanation or look from someone playing it to ease that particular anxiety. Now I don't know when a random youtuber's going to squeeze in some comments about narrative (campaign or chaos theory) in a seemingly unrelated video. sighs

@SanctusLupus You started this thread when JWE2 was whispers and hopes. Tomorrow it becomes real. Legendary thread status.
Yes I did and I'm looking forward to tomorrow, then wait for DLC and we will see what happens from there on. I'm going to probably state what I think thereafter. :) A couple reviews for anyone that is interested :) Both give a decent review as where the game stands prior to tomorrow's launch. We will see what will happen the. Pros, Cons and what to hope for next. :)

Never have I been so disappointed by a game release. when my triceratops + ankylosaurs finally stop killing each other (that's trike vs trike and anky vs anky I mean, they seem determined to slaughter their own herd-mates every 5 minutes and this is beyond stupid) and the vehicles ai learns how to actually be productive in getting their jobs done in a timely manner I might enjoy playing. As it stands the dinosaurs are determined to make it so I will never complete a chaos theory map. They keep killing their friends, constantly.

One funny part though. I was streaming to friends at the time and we're all trying to figure out / blame shift whose phone was ringing through the mics, or at least where it was coming from. Made a few of us check our phones. Took quite some time to realise the ring tone was from one of the dinosaurs who swallowed a phone. Nice sound. :ROFLMAO:

Congrats, you found one of the game's Easter eggs!

Are you making sure that all their needs are met and that they are comfortable? They shouldn't get into fights if they're 100% content with their surroundings.

So far, I have been rather disappointed as well. I tried starting campaign mode yesterday. First time, you have to tranq the Baryonx. Helicopter wouldn't respond correctly. It would fly in circles after pressing the button and I couldn't make it stop. Tried going out, coming back in 3 times. Same result. I then tried it on another PC and it finally let me get pass it. Then it bugged out on me in the mission with the Allo. It doesn't recognize that the Allo is safe and secure in the enclosure so the mission won't move forward. Gotta love bugs lol

It is making it really hard to enjoy this game. Also I have been getting where the game starts lagging on its self. Like it is about to freeze or crash. It seems like it is unstable. So had to turn it off and hopefully another patch will come out soon to stabilize it. As it is, I don't think I will have the ability to enjoy this game presently. PCs are up to specs to take the game on in Ultra High graphics and all. I even lowered it to High and Med to see if that made much of a difference. Still was getting the same results. Really unfortunate...

Yes, they are 100% comfort levels. Something I'm very pedantic over. and they constantly fight each other - currently my triceratops in the JP chaos theory mission are the top offenders, I only have two. can't handle 3 if they are constantly fighting like this. comfortable, nothing is red shaded, both have the docile trait and both are fighting all the time. I specifically try and choose ones with no aggression/anti social traits but I always have one in the paleo-medical facility healing up after fighting, as soon as I put it back in the enclosure they fight again.
Had to restart it multiple times and the only success I got from doing so is my velociraptors are currently on their best behaviour towards each other.

I think it's garbage. I booked the day off work to play it yesterday and just didn't have fun. There is far too much micromanagement and the shops just seem to drain money unless positioned DIRECTLY outside an attraction. Why? That’s not the way things work in real life—at Disney, people don’t refuse to pop into the pizza shop because it’s not directly next to Space Mountain. I placed all my shops along a red path---they were bleeding money. It was only after I started again and just put them in an ugly cluster directly next to an attraction where they actually turned a profit.

Forget about having an aesthetically pleasing park in this game if you need to cluster everything together.

Also challenge mode—why restrictions? Just let me build whatever I want on Germany. The restriction would be interesting if optional—but it shouldn’t be forced.

Also, JP Chaos Mode is insane—“here you go, build money-draining generators and the most bad-tempered violent dinosaurs first of all which are going to constantly need to be in the hospital. Good luck lol.

From now 20 hours playing I can honestly say there is a big learning curve to get things working 'right'. It is not enjoyable during this time and I'm not even there yet. The campaign worked fine for me, no bugs in my attempt through, but my poor Allo died once. My issues have all come from Chaos theory- the storms making me have to start over due to bankruptcy within 2 minutes into the storm so no way to recover when storm's gone, and the dinosaurs fighting for what feels like no reason.

My husband told me my trike issue might be because they fight, one goes into hospital and the other gets lonely. So as soon as I put the hospitalised one back they fight again because comfort wasn't perfect during that time technically. She's always lonely because she keeps sending her buddy to hospital! dammit, game.
This doesn't explain why they fought in the first place though, nor does it work for my issues with my raptors yesterday but that may have been a bug as they've behaved fine since my restart of the map. Nor does it help with my ankylosaurs who are just overall unhappy with each other even though there's nothing 'wrong' that i can see in anything on the dino stats, nor traits. It seems to be a 50/50 if mine are gonna fight to the death or not at this point lol.

I am rearranging my dinosaurs again to get a third trike.
PSA also pay close attention to the cohabitation bit! my pachyrhinosaurs were unhappy because I had one too many Dryosaurs with them and they aren't preferred co-hab species.

There is so much to keep track of... flails
It is very overwhelming.

The game has made me absolutely hate triceratops for that reason. Two keep giving each other concussions, then the other gets lonely while the others get treated and ends up going apeshit.

I also now hate raptors because they won’t stop tearing each other apart. Releasing the raptors is like when Lockhart released the Cornish Pixies.

I have 4 Dilos that fight for no reason and also just to let you know 2 Cearadactylus died because they had salmonella but the MVU wouldn’t heal them it just sat next to the aviary saying it was healing them even though it never touched em just wanted to let you know there was a slight bug that cost me at least 1.5-2 million dollars

Yup this is how I lost my mosasaurus. She got sick, and the medical unit van said there was no path to heal it, the van refused to use the hatchery to get a drone or w/e and since Frontier don't want me using anything else to medicate my dinosaurs and reptiles I lost my mosasaurus.

Storm free-fall finances, to help this a little bit each and every guest building must be powered 24/7 - via backup generators if a nearby substation goes out (even when guests are in the emergency shelters) or else guests get upset there's no amenities ... Even though the guests should be in the emergency shelters, not worrying about if the fast food shop is open for business in the middle of a tornado... .... ....
I'm not sure if this is a solution to storm freefall finance problem, but it did help me get through a smaller, much shorter, storm recently without much of a dip. Apparently I'd missed covering around half my guest buildings with backup generators. I am still going through all these issues via trial and error. Doesn't seem to be a fix-all anywhere sadly.

ETA: a third trike didn't help. 2 just fought again giving one major organ failure. The only thing that wasn't h 'woo happy content', was they both had pneumonia. Will they fight even if one dropped slightly too low in health when it has an untreatable illness? my van was on its way to health boost them when they started fighting instead. This seems overly silly now.

wow fun...

This is slightly frustrating because the game looks gorgeous, other then some light flickering now and then has run fine on my pc, I adore the dinosaurs visually and animation interactions etc. and could spend all day just watching them. They're amazing, very good job on them. even the hyuangasaurus is small and so darn cute. I'm finding myself squeeing over dinosaurs I didn't like in the first game.

It's just these little things like them constantly fighting, sometimes I spot a possible reason, but mostly I can't find any reason in their dino stats at all.
The storms are harsher then harsh. Even with my backup generator fix I dread the next storm.
It's these little things that are ruining the amazing bits, I'm sorry to say.

I went back into my game and it seemed like the mission finally recognized that my Allo was ok but then it froze. I restarted the scenario and then it worked. Crazy... then I have the same problem on the next mission. Lagging to where it wants to freeze or crash. So I quit lol. Not a lot of fun here...

Pro: Animals are awesome looking. I enjoy the Triceratops licking its chops after drinking but I couldn't help but laugh because they kept the drinking animation from the first one where it sticks its face down into the water. Drowning itself while drinking. lol I couldn't believe it.

Then other things I found bad that I haven't been able to experience so far. Sauropods are meat sacks. Am I getting that right? From what I have seen from others, that's what it is. Why is that? Why is there animals that seem to be nothing more than walking pieces of meat? They don't have any desire of self preservation???
