JWE 2

This is slightly frustrating because the game looks gorgeous, other then some light flickering now and then has run fine on my pc, I adore the dinosaurs visually and animation interactions etc. and could spend all day just watching them. They're amazing, very good job on them. even the hyuangasaurus is small and so darn cute. I'm finding myself squeeing over dinosaurs I didn't like in the first game.

It's just these little things like them constantly fighting, sometimes I spot a possible reason, but mostly I can't find any reason in their dino stats at all.
The storms are harsher then harsh. Even with my backup generator fix I dread the next storm.
It's these little things that are ruining the amazing bits, I'm sorry to say.
Seems like the game is unstable and not that well balanced. I hope they get this corrected as it is ruining the fun. I also hope that we will get more behaviors, interactions and smoothing out some rough edges down the line as well.

I hate the guests complaining. Stop complaining because you can't go bowling or there's not enough amneties and go and look at the allosaurus--you pleb.
lol I haven't even gotten that far as my game hates me but that does sound like a pain. Shouldn't the guests be more interested in the animals than merchandise? I mean you buy merchandise because you enjoy the animals. Not usually the other way around lol

hehe my campaign cryolophosaurus would stand in the middle of the pond, then drink, sticking it's entire head under the water. Silly, but I'm not as fussy about animations for some things. It was a good laugh xD

it definitely needs some stabilising though. Another friend had many of the same issues Lupus has mentioned here, while I have so far gotten none of those, just light flickers now and then. The campaign ran absolutely fine for me.

Also balancing to lessen the chances of fighting because currently it seems to be really stupid things causing the dinosaurs to fight, if it's anything at all. And the storms. ugh.

I suppose it could be worse. Like Planet Coasters guests complaining about not being able to go to the toilet while they're stood next to a toilet.

We just have the generic "guests are saying there isn't enough amneties/entertainment/whatever".

The guests also refuse to visit shops if you select the wrong modules--make the mistake of picking a fossil display instead of a fountain, it'll drain money. Which is stupid as hell.

From what i noticed guest wise with amenities you just need modules to cover the configuration guide bars, showing the kinds of guests in your park. Easier to have what you want, plus cover them, once you reach medium amenities etc of course. until then they get upset their guest type isn't catered to for that building.

Eh, I've had the bar set pretty high since I started this thread. So, ya know. A little of a let down in some areas so far lol But can't really tell till I can play it entirely lol

Ouch, that's pretty bad...

I had a far higher bar for the campaign and it was disappointing, thoroughly garbage. So I totally get people expecting more from things I don't have a higher bar for :)

The entire game yells Tedious at me :( especially earlier in when you don't have researching done. Right now I have little to do but Triceratops injury management until my chaos theory mission is complete as I don't want more dinosaurs. I'm struggling with the ones I have.

I see, yeah since I have heard it is pretty short and only finishing two missions at 40% completion already. I can see why, also been told it doesn't really end. Like there is more that should be there for the campaign and isn't. Perhaps having to wait for JWD but that doesn't really justify completely.

To tell the truth, my high bar was through out everything. I edited, added, subtracted and everything to my first original post. I wanted so much amazement, wonder to enjoy the animals, to be immersed in it, to have the progression that should be similar to that of an RTS, to have the thrill when things go bad and having to be the hero to fix it up. All that jazz. I just saw so much untapped potential with the first one and was wanting so much to be accomplished with this one.

I was expecting this game to be delayed so they can polish it up more and since release. I say, I think they should have lol

Sorry to hear about your woes. That doesn't sound fun. You know, Triceratops is one of my favs. Yet in the first game, I found myself getting bored watching one of my favorite dinos. So far, I find them a bit better in this one. Was hoping for more but have been content. It sucks if it is more of a micromanaging nightmare...

Have you tried to restart the scenario to see if it might just be bugging out?

None of the modules cover the bars though.

My main guest is the green colored ones. But no matter which module I install, it never manages to satisfy the green.

Which is stupid. Nobody in the world is going to refuse to buy a Jurassic Park hat because the shop has the wrong decor.

You know one thing that was weird since JWE came out. There wasn't any merchandise that was in game that we could buy in real life. I thought that was a missed opportunity. Sounds like they need to work on the shops and guests to get that fixed. Otherwise, it doesn't seem to be worth the effort.

Yup! restarting the map solved my velociraptors trying to kill each other issue, but my trikes were stubbornly persistent. I'm nearly finished it finally, just gotta get to 5 stars now, so I'll deal with brawling trikes.
The triceratops look great, I just don't know what's causing the constant fighting.

I'm going to try just making one raptor and one trike and just tranquilizing them until they die. See if that stops the issues of them raining my money and gets rid of them quicker.

Regarding only some of what's been thought of and said here, especially the reviews:

I knew many things wished/hoped for, all this time of nearly 3 years, here in the forums, YouTube, Twitter, and especially the "fire fueling" Reddit, was going to end up waaay too good to be true, some of them at least at launch date since some of them I consider possibilities for this time.

Never do I ever speak with any expectations of the unknown or dreams of the unknown when it comes to future games/content, because I've seen myself what that leads to for many years, and was one small part as to why I left and distanced myself from a fan community I was once a part of for over 5 years until over 3 years ago. Instead, I stick with limited and realistic wonders without going too far, which was why I was never like or truly engaged with the "collective" when looking forward to JWE2, or giving ideas/suggestions to the first game.

Never the less, even since announcement day, I am very well look forward to Jurassic World Evolution 2 (I haven't played it yet because my drives are out of date. Since last year, I've been wanting a new computer anyways) as I do want to build dream parks and facilities in it, just like I will with JWE1 one day. As well as looking forward to see what the future of JWE2 will hold at post-launch, giving out more ideas and suggestions with personal feedback thrown in them along the way, in a similar style I did

Ok, here we go.. my pachyrhino's are back at it. Why are they fighting? there's nothing wrong...

That's crazy stuff...

Hey!

It doesn't mean that they're refusing to buy the merchandise, it just means there's a bigger demand from that particular type of guest. You should be able to research additional internal modules that will help you satisfy their needs.

After grinding against bugs. I finally finished the campaign. I can say it is really short though the bugs had it drawn out for me.

Started the JP chaos theory had to quit at the start due to a bug. Went back later and it worked. Be nice if they tell you it is indirectly timed. You are bleeding cash till goals are completed to be allowed to open the park. Raptors at the get go? Really, setting up for possible failure? Maybe, who knows. A miracle I made it so far. Didn't have trouble with the Triceratops. Other than bugs and nit picks of things. I can honestly say I hate the micromanaging. To me it takes away from the enjoyment of the animals. Which is a real shame with all that new effort in them. I can also say, weather is a hit and miss. The new scientist to have to advance along with having barriers to progression in research like getting so many stars. Not a big fan, seems a bit more overkill than it needed to be. Progression is great but not with such a grind. Obstacles in the way of progression. Understood, but a pile of obstacles continually. Not that much fun. Would have been nice if that effort went into more behaviors, animations and such :)

I knew this was going to be another bugging issue. Pterosaurs... why, oh why aren't we able to give them pillars of rock, cliffs and such for them to perch. Had some of those in JP3. They fly like feathered birds yet can't but I get it. Still would like perch items for them higher than the place able rocks. To also have more than the viewing platforms and the hatchery for them to perch on.

It can be a pain to find a good balance for cohabitating animals. Just saying, I had to fix that issue especially when one animal wants multi food sources to be 100%. Then putting three more kinds in there. That was a juggling act.

Found out that the genetic traits are your friend if you research and modify them correctly. Plays a bigger part in this game to keeping the peace in the enclosures. Calmed my raptors down. That was a relief.

Love the look of the animals. Really do, that's one thing that really shines and getting those behaviors and animations. :)

That's what I have so far. Any thoughts?
