JWE3 Species and Ideas wishlist

Do any of you think we have enough marine species?

Among the aviary species, Rhamphorhynchus and Hatzegopteryx must be added.

Of the land species; Plateosaurus, Protoceratops, Austroraptor, and Saltasaurus are must have.

Anybody here want these: Psittacosaurus, Archaeopteryx, Microraptor, Camptosaurus, Lambeosaurus, and Stegoceras?
We won't have enough marine species until we get Helicoprion

I WANT ALL OF THOSE SPECIES YOU MENTIONED

I just want them to update the Deinonychus. Now that feathers are in the games, it should be a lot easier to differentiate them from the Velociraptor without making them so ugly.

I think it would be quite interesting if Scipionyx, traditionally (and erroneously) believed to be a compsognathid but may instead be a carcharodontosaurid, was added to the game. Imagine it as having both scales and feathers as reference to its hatchling stage (in turn a reference to the holotype specimen):

I'm pretty sure that Frontier will keep the "ugly" and "inaccurate" Deinonychus in the game, but hopefully the accurate and cool Deinonychus will be added as a new paleo-accurate variant to the in-game Deinonychus.

I wonder how would semi-aquatic enclosures work? I think this should be added anyway, since I want some of these animals added to the game:

  • Deinosuchus
  • Koolasuchus
  • Spinosaurus (paleo-accurate variant and the base game/movie variant)
  • Archelon (moved from lagoons)
  • Nothosaurus (moved from lagoons)

In real life, yes

About the size of Velociraptor, I find the one in Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis to be acceptable than ones in Jurassic World: Evolution games. The height of Velociraptor in Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis is shorter than the ones we see in the movies and Jurassic World: Evolution games.

Are the heights of Pyroraptor and Atrociraptor the same as Deinonychus?

Speaking of dromaeosaurs, only Austroraptor is a desirable addition to Jurassic World: Evolution 3. Unlike the other dromaeosaurs, Austroraptor will require fish instead of prey.

Here's a size chart. I hope it helps.

Fun fact: Both Velociraptor and Atrociraptor were originally intended to be Deinonychus before having their names changed for "dramatic effect".

Yeah, but Deinonychus sounds cooler than Velociraptor or Atrociraptor in my opinion since its name means "Terrible claw", so I think that Jurassic Park raptors should have been called Deinonychus (InGen's variant called "Deinonychus ingenis") and BioSyn's species (without feathers) should also have been called Deinonychus (BioSyn's variant called "Deinonychus biosynii"). However, these are my personal opinions.

Anyway, back to the topic of Jurassic World Evolution 3, I would love if it skin previews for different species were added, as well as more patterns and colors for all species.

I agree. I love Michael Crichton and Steven Spielberg, but they should've left the name alone.

Following everyone's ideas for a better Deinonychus model for the next game, what if Velociraptor had an alternate more Paleo accurate model. And this could be done with the legacy dinosaurs? Species like

Gallimimus
Velociraptor
T- rex
Triceratops
Brachiosaurus
Dilophosaurus
Spinosaurus

I believe Dinolover4242 shared this idea before. This is an image Dinolover4242 shared that I thought gives a great idea of what paleo models for those Jurassic Legacy dinosaurs could look like.

@Tyrannoraptor75 Thanks for the chart. I always thought the height of Deinonychus in the Jurassic World: Evolution games is acceptable. Is Atrociraptor between Velociraptor and Deinonychus?

As for Jurassic World: Evolution 3, would it better if Deinonychus require prey instead of meat?

I always thought the carnivores that require meat (such as Coelophysis and Proceratosaurus) are the ones hunted small prey (for example lizards, insects, amphibians, and small mammals) originally.
