JWE3 Species and Ideas wishlist

:: My Perfect List ::

Just a list of animals, depicting the full roster of animals I'd love to see by the end of Jurassic World Evolution 3's lifespan... I don't care if it's not totally believeable or seemingly unlikely, it's just what I want to see. Always a work in progress, because I am a perfectionist, yet I cannot define perfect.

*Before anyone says it, yes I did make cuts to canon animals, dubious or otherwise... no, I don't care... this is MY perfect list, I'm writing what I want...

{} Replaced {}

  • Archaeornithomimus ---> Pelecanimimus
N/A
  • Chungkingosaurus -----> Tuojiangosaurus
The largest and most well known Jurassic Chinese stegosaurs; restorations vary whether it had shoulder spikes or not. Think Chungkingosaurus, but larger and actually import.
  • Dracorex ------------------> Stegoceras
One of the most signficant pachycephalosaurs, Stegoceras was the base of pachycephalosaur restorations for very long time. Even without the debate of what Dracorex counts as, we really don't need three Hell Creek pachycephalosaurs.
  • Megalosaurus -----------> Torvosaurus
A large and impressive megalosaur; basically the Megalosaurus we already have, but from a time and places shared by other dinosaurs and also demanded by players.
  • Metriacanthosaurus ---> Yangchuanosaurus
The "allosaurus" of China... a large and well-known theropod and the basis for restorations of poorly known animals, like Metriacanthosaurus...
  • Microceratus ------------> Graciliceratops
N/A
  • Moros ---------------------> Dilong
N/A
  • Nodosaurus -------------> Edmontonia
One of the most significant and recognized of nodosaurs; coexisted with many animals like Parasaurolophus and Styracosaurus... unlike Nodosaurus, which has no known contemporaries and is so poorly known its restoration is based on the better-known Borealopelta.
  • Proceratosaurus -------> Guanlong
A small Chinese proceratosaur with a well developed crest, it coexisted with Mamenchisaurus and Tuojiangosaurus... versus Proceratosaurus, a partial skull with a broken mystery crest... and mystery everything else...
  • Segisaurus --------------> Elaphrosaurus
N/A

{} NEW {}

  • Anzu
One of the best known North American oviraptors; a caenagnathid from the Hell Creek Formation.
  • Arizonasaurus
A poposauroid with a body like Postasuchus, but a large sail like Dimetrodon.
  • Austroraptor
A large and unique South American dromaeosaur; had short arms and a mouth that suggests a piscivorous nature.
  • Beipiaosaurus
Formerly the largest feathered dinosaur known to science; a primitive therizinosaur from the Yixian formation.
  • Caudipteryx
Part of the feathery Yixian fauna; a small and primivitive oviraptor, it vaguely resembled a modern wild turkey.
  • Cynognathus
N/A
  • Desmatosuchus
N/A
  • Dicraeosaurus
The namesake of the dicraeosaur sauropods; small sauropods with unusual neck features. Coexisted with Kentrosaurus.
  • Einiosaurus
N/A
  • Eoraptor
N/A
  • Europasaurus
An insular dwarf brachiosaur... imagine a Brachiosaurus, but only ten feet tall.
  • Heterodontosaurus
N/A
  • Hyperodapedon
N/A
  • Hypsilophodon
N/A
  • Ichthyovenator
Possibly the best known spinosaur outside of the ones currently a part of canon; enough was found to indicate a sail of an unusual shape.
  • Kannemeyeria
N/A
  • Kaprosuchus
N/A
  • Kosmoceratops
N/A
  • Lambeosaurus (lambei)
N/A
  • Lesothosaurus
A small and very primitive ornithopod... its place in the family tree remains debated.
  • Leptoceratops
The namesake of the leptoceratopsids; surprisingly primitive ceratopsians for the time and place they lived... this particular one lived among the Hell Creek fauna, including Ankylosaurus, Triceratops and Tyrannosaurus.
  • Lotosaurus
A poposauroid with sail like Ouranosaurus and a beak for sheering plants.
  • Masiakasaurus
N/A
  • Massospondylus
One of the best known prosauropods and one of the few known to coexist with other herbivores, such as Lesothosaurus and Heterodontosaurus.
  • Mononykus
An extremely bird-like dinosaur, their hands featured one finger with a giant claw. Possibly an insectivore, it lived alongside Homalocephale, Gallimimus and Therizinosaurus.
  • Mymoorapelta
A primitive nodosaur from the Morrison Formation; discovered before the similar Gargoyleosaurus... I also like the sound of Mymoorapelta more.
  • Ornithosuchus
N/A
  • Piatnitzkysaurus
N/A
  • Pinacosaurus
Among the best known ankylosaurs, with many skeletons, including juveniles known; a very well preserved skeleton featured much of the armor as it would appear in live.
  • Plateosaurus
Possibly the best known of all prosauropods... possibly the largest as well.

The best known Asian pachycephalosaur; a purported juvenile fossil implies dome-shaped skulls were found in young pachycephalosaurs.
  • Protoceratops
N/A
  • Psittacosaurus
A primitive, bipedal ceratopsian found all across east Asia... fossils of this animal are so detailed that life restorations are among the most accurate to life possible.
  • Repanomamus
A relatively large Mesozoic mammal... gained infamy when a fossil depicting one fighting a Psittacosaurus was discovered.
  • Saltasaurus
A small titanosaur; one of the first confirmed to have armor.
  • Saurosuchus
N/A
  • Scelidosaurus

  • Simosuchus
A herbivorous terrestrial crocodile; kinda looks like a reptilian puppy.
  • Spectrovenator
A small and primitive abelisaur; far smaller than any currently in the game.
  • Stegouros
N/A
  • Tenontosaurus
N/A
  • Thescelosaurus
N/A
  • Titanosaurus
N/A
  • Yinlong
A primitive, bipedal ceratopsian... co-existed with Mamenchisaurus, Gigantspinosaurus and others.

I don't know why you want some species replaced, when all species from JWE2 could easily replaced (especially if the search engine in the species database could be improved to allow more than 122 species). Also, why replace movie canonical species like Moros and Microceratus, for example, with species that aren't even in movies?

It is hard to say about Beipiaosaurus. If it is to be added, I am sure Frontier can depict this species more accurately than the 13th Land Before Time film.
Yeah, I agree with you here. Hopefully, Beipiaosaurus will be done with justice by Frontier, unlike in Land Before Time.

Also, why replace movie canonical species like Moros and Microceratus, for example, with species that aren't even in movies?
1st Question: Because there will always be limits to the number of species they can add, and by removing some they make room for others... also because many species added are redundant or inferior to alternatives, and anything the removed species could add could be done better by better species.
2nd Question: Refer to previous answer...

I think a better question would be why do you think all species from JWE2 could be replaced? I mean... how do you even come to such a conclusion?

It honestly shocks me that we haven't gotten Psittacosaurus yet.

:: My Perfect List ::

Nice list. You've certainly put a lot of thought into it. Although I would've chosen Ornithomimus (preferably feathered) over Pelicanimimus.

Very good list!!!
And believe me, I'm sure to expand on it further eventually... like I said, I'm a perfectionist and I cannot define perfect...

A list of Spinosaurids. It would be nice to get a new Spinosaurid in the game and not connected to any of the films. That way Frontier can make a very paleo accurate version of that animal.
Considering how little we know of most Spinosaurids, it's likely the only hope for a paleo accurate non-canon one is Ichthyovenator...

Nice list. You've certainly put a lot of thought into it. Although I would've chosen Ornithomimus (preferably feathered) over Pelicanimimus.
Ornithomimus would be a super redundant addition with Struthiomimus in the game, but a feathered variant of Struthiomimus is literally the exact same thing you're asking for... making Ornithomimus 100% redundant...

I think the new game could be improved with a new AI you have improved to velocirapors and indominus rex for example in the Jurassic World Indominus movie was so smart that it staged its own escape and could hide the tracking chip that would be interesting. If they did this in JWE3 I think it would give you palpitations not knowing where it is.\\nAnd the island seems far too limited to the total construction of Jurassic World or if you buy DLC for Jurassic Park! \\nIt seems to me a disadvantage with the limited island! \\nIt would be interesting to be able to have dinosaur chickens in JWE3 from all species and there is a thing with population control but as usual "life will find a way" and one last thing would be to physics at the electric fences and here I mean to those in cables. For example, when a dinosaur breaks the fences are small bent pipes but be addressed to add cables with a little physical and see them moving and removing the spark from where they are broken! One more thing that would be interesting if they could be adjustable when some dinosaurs are closed in too small spaces decreases too much comfort although in the movie indominus rex had a small habitat and did not decrease the comfort that stops you to build spaces. little to be as close to the movie as close as possible. This would be interesting added or to exist directly done the indedomy pad made exactly like the one in the film and you can open the gate, it can break it for an ex level of security higher than his ex i power You should 6 at the fences be able to cope and the pad be 7 to hit it and you have time to repair it before breaking it I think that many have wanted this!
This is true! They need better ai! As for the entire island part, I made a idea earlier on of adding a map system similar to JWE1 with switching islands but make it like a map of isla nublar or any map your playing where there was more size for building or other areas that were interesting canonically, there would be a point on the map for all canon locations for important structures in the movies and book and on JW sandbox, chaos theory (if they re-add that), and there would be Jurassic park ruins hidden on one of the points on the map, another idea, make flying reptiles attracted to monorails and helicopters (they are attracted to helicopters but I couldn’t find a point where they attacked it even after 20 pterosaurs and 1 very big flying reptile (I’m not even going to try to spell the name), this would add an extra layer of urgency to get them back in their aviary, and add helicopters crashing into aviary’s, if a helicopter is near a aviary and a a decently high point it would crash into the glass, also make flying reptiles always fly out of the aviary, even if comfort is 10-15% I have dimorphidons not ever fly out of an aviary broken on all sides, it’s very strange as in the movie you see the pterosaurs and other flying reptiles fly out of the aviary almost immediately and yet mine would rather starve them come out? Anyway sorry for the rant but idk!

The
1st Question: Because there will always be limits to the number of species they can add, and by removing some they make room for others... also because many species added are redundant or inferior to alternatives, and anything the removed species could add could be done better by better species.
2nd Question: Refer to previous answer...

I think a better question would be why do you think all species from JWE2 could be replaced? I mean... how do you even come to such a conclusion?
dracorex is such a classic!

There was no therizinosaurus DNA in the indominus rex

There was no therizinosaurus DNA in the indominus rex
According to what I've read, yes there was...

In the film Jurassic World, she was going to be the latest attraction added to the park for higher profits. The hybrid was created by modifying the genome of a Tyrannosaurus rex with the DNA of various other theropods. Some of the known species that were included were Velociraptor,[5] Carnotaurus, Giganotosaurus, Majungasaurus, Rugops,[1] Pycnonemosaurus, Quilmesaurus, Viavenator,[11] Deinosuchus,[4] and Therizinosaurus.[2] There were also the DNA of modern animals such as cuttlefish, tree frog,[5] and a pit viper snake.[2] - Jurassic Park Wiki

:: My Perfect List ::

I don't want parts of the roster to be replaced.

I don't want parts of the roster to be replaced.
They can't just keep adding more forever... sometimes you have to choose one or the other... by keeping the entire current roster, you are choosing weaker, less useful animals over animals that could do the same job, but much better...

All species in my list would be new ones. All of them accurate and properly feathered where appropriate

We already have enough hunting dromaeosaurs (Deinonychus should require prey not meat), there is room for the fishing Austroraptor. The probability that Pelecanimimus being added is higher than Ornithomimus.

Adding Protoceratops and Plateosaurus can serve as means to catch up to Prehistoric Kingdom.

I don't want parts of the roster to be replaced.

It is best that species of Jurassic World: Evolution 2 (DLC species included) be available in the base game of Jurassic World: Evolution 3.
