Ultimately they'll be changed once they add in atmospheric effects, otherwise they'll have to do some crazy stuff to change their atmospheric compositions with a lot of Argon and Krypton.

Yes, at least they are staying pink, that is a good thing.
I'd honestly like to see Frontier add a bit MORE diversity into the Stellar Forge. Allow some truly rare and odd colors to crop up sometimes, not only on gas giants but in stars and planet surfaces too.

If the ED galaxy had more dynamic sights I wouldn't be as keen on keeping the colliding planets (they are a bit unrealistic). But as things stand, they add a bit of much needed variety.
By dynamic sights, I mean things like meteoritic impacts, comets, actual collisions (of the boom! kind), accretion discs around black holes etc etc.
