Krait Mk. II, it's now a Python analog

I don't care how much cargo it holds or if it has a class 6 PD, as long as it flies better than the Python and is competitive with a Cutter in speed, it will be the ship I've always been looking for.

Hold your horses! If people really think that space legs are coming they are delusional. If space legs will be in the game it will take years and if you really think about how this engine is done, it's quite certain that we MAYBE see this phenomenon in sequel or such. If you think that you just put animation rig in the game and "POW" magically we have moving avatars, you really don't know how these games are made and how hard it is.

In Soviet Russia, horses hold you! As for space legs, we'll be getting those by the end of the year as paid DLC.

Commander? Check
Ship(s)? Check

So when do we get the crew? I don’t mean the fighter pilot we never see, nor the empty holograms of other commanders looking for free credits. I’m talking about warm bodies filling empty seats, giving us real bonuses to ship performance.

I think we'll have to get NPC crew before we get legs... Wouldn't make sense if you could walk around but you couldn't see or interact with the crew.

As far as the Krait goes, I hope they don't force us to choose between a large shield or dual fighter bay...

So long as it's not a hull tank. I'd like a proper shield tank. Will find out on Thursday.
Hopefully we'll also find out what internals it has in the live stream.
If it is a Guardian unlock please FDEV don't let it require any more than 30 Guardian ship blue prints.
*COUGH* Cause that's how many I have! *COUGH*

Don't get your hopes too high though.

With three large hardpoints+ and a SLF? I don't think so :p

Where does it say that it has 3 large hardpoints and an SLF?
Also, perhaps there will be ship launched non-fighters and tools that fit into hardpoints, like the new mining stuff?
I want it to be an exploration ship! :D

I don't think the the senior designer quoted in that article understands what makes the Python so unique.
Large part of that is its excellent cargo capacity. The Python is the go to ship if you want to be able to do business in outposts.
I would be pleasantly surprised if the new Krait can compete in that area.
I want one anyway. The Krait mk II is a great looking design.

It is not the amount,
it is the size.
There are less tools in the large calibre than there
are in small or medium:
No large verions of...
... railgun
... missile
... torpedo
... mine
... powerplay weapons

The guardian stuff is coming as large weapons,
that one is interesting, but for the shady trades
one needs engineered tools with special effects.
That is lacking in the large category.

Wow that heat on the readout boosting,
if this one is fast enough stock, he will get reinforced
drives with extra cooling hoses!

APA and Pacifiers are larges and powerplay.

Yea, as soon as I saw medium ship with fighter bay my first thought was "Stripped down, I hope this can work as a decent exploration ship!" cockpit looks very nice for exploration, kinda asp like. But with a figher bay for canyon runs? Ohhh please yes!
