Launcher is not launching after update 18.02

Neither Odyssey nor Horizons. I get a black screen for a brief moment then back to desktop
Horizons Legacy does launch
How can I contact FDEV support? I have not been able to find customer support
 
test your device to see if it work's either in pc control panel or in another game?
if it dont work there either its not an fd problem if it does itsa game binding problem and this bindings guide may help you sort out why (if you read the threads few pages you will see how others have recovered there setups)

It works fine outside ED
Since it also works in Horizons Legacy I am sure that the problem comes with the new 128 buttons limit
I have switched to Logitech Extreme 3D Pro and ED works fine
 
is there PXN2113Pro software running
i would try it with driver only its odd most devices with a usb lead can be bound an work
cut an paste your existing binds folder to desktop first so you have them backed up (close down the game when file handeling)
so no longer in the correct fd dir
restart the game and it will create a fresh bindings folder see if that will allow new bindings to be bound if it dont you can always just put your back up (on desktop) back in

never mind i know how the new supercruise booster works now...............................
its pretty useless imo and not worth the damage it incures as a result of it's use🤷‍♂️
may skip titan interdiction journey but the damage will be probably worse than an interdicted scrap
so i am not impressed with it
with the damage it causes nerfed a lot it may be viable 🤷‍♂️
besides with hutton cruises i can watch an episode of a of something like the expanse show and tab back just b4 arrival

hello,
After this update 18.02 i also can´t play the game.
i click play in the launcher and it starts the game but after 5 sec in black screen exits to the launcher menu.
Drivers are all updated.
can anyone help?
 
have you tried validating the game files in the launcher ( click manage )
if you have purchased the game from epic or geforce now it may take them 4 days to patch there licenses up
steam purchases can also be delayed by hours but they are usually bang on time
direct frontier store purchases have no delays other than server down time to release the updates

I've tryed that and did not work.
Also validated files via steam menu, but nothing.
Never happened this to me in any other elite update.
tryed also window screen mode and the problem continues.
 
ok looks like your gona have to try a few things to see where the problem is
the update recently updated its controls inputs to add sco boost functionality so that's probably a good place to start the process of eliminating what it isn't
can you confirm make model of device you are using to control the game
and can you confirm you were playing fine be b4 update 18.02
have you read the bindings guide sticky at the top of this pc subforum and can you backup the folder to your desktop first

i suspect your problem may be a knock on due to this bug which is currently effecting some users https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/64095

Sorry for the late reply to your post but i've been busy due to some extra work and didn't had time to try your solution.
After reading your post regarding the bindings i gave it a shot and, i have to thank you, the problem was solved!
also did another attempt in validating the files but i think the problem was really the bindings.
