Lave Revolutions and Lave 2 planet

So ive been reading some old posts and it seems that Lave 2 planet is currently permit locked for future content related to further sequels of the Lave Revolutions book.

I think both of these things would be awesome. A new book, plus some new lore / places to visit on Lave 2.

Any idea when something like this could potentially happen?

Yeah.... Lots of things have been said and not done.
Like this permit locked system, where some people decrypted a map to go there a long time ago (something thargoids or guardian related), but it's been closed for years.
Tionisla "graveyard" which doesn't exist.
Comets, which are ingame, but FDEV is still waiting for "the proper technology" to show them, so they are not modelized. Any day now.

So when it will happen ? Probably never. Sorry mate.

I've enjoyed the books, particularly Drew's. I miss Drew's involvement with the game, wish he were still about. A decent man. Good hat too.

Seriously though, It was Allen's plan to involve Lave 2 in the sequel to Lave Revolutions. He had an outline and a a couple of chapters written but Fdev gave up on doing fiction for Elite after Drew's last book. Any proposals for fiction, unlike when there was at the launch, have been rejected.

So, unfortunately, it's not going to happen and Lave 2 will probably be locked FOREVER!

As you know I am a great fan and supporter of the ED books - all of them.

Indeed I am just starting out on my second reading of "Out of the darkness" having just re-read the three Gollancz books (I had forgotten how amusing "Docking is Difficult" is!).

Dissapointing but im not shocked. Probably the same for all of the other locked regions too, nothing will likely ever come of them.

I think it's been retconned. It's where all the 2nd Tech clones came from.

Lave has plenty of story going on.

Shame Community Engagement never really got into what happens in the community.
