Legacy becoming more unstable ?

Over the past few weeks I've found my game becoming more and more unstable , wing invites game crashes and extra long entering/ exiting super cruise or the enemy alert message being empty ( even though the enemy is coming )

The favourite is going into commodities menu and the game freezing and then kicking me out to the main menu . @Paul_Crowther ( you are the only CM I know now ) could you ask around and see if anything can be seen ? I would raise a ticket but it's legacy and it's only critical fixes .
It would be appreciated.

I've had a few weird ones lately (although I couldn't say the frequency is higher than at any other point).

I had one tonight where I left the port, started spinning and the speed indicator was showing 30k m/s - whilst I wasn't in supercruise! Glad the inertial dampners were still working otherwise I might have spilled my tea!

The lack of response from anyone at fdev just shows how little they care about us, just pull the dam plug already, why keep us around if they have no interest or intention to do anything for the console community ?

No wait I need the power play gold bobble head ...... I sort of expected no response ( due to my historic posts ??) but hoped that a wild CM may happen across the post and just ask the question ? It may well be EDO related as PC players have had the same issues . I even thought it may be deliberate so that it drives players from consoles to a state that Fdev say it's not worth it and close down . But that may just be me being grumpy ??

Didn't they stop supporting legacy? So eventually it'll be unplayable.

Critical fixes is all we get, so still supporting and we do get some new Paintjobs . But that's it

So today my game graphics froze but audio continued. A lot in super cruise but also when in station menus. This was happening every 10 minutes or so. The game was unresponsive via the controller and had to be closed via the main menu.

I experienced similar issues the last time I played, so stopped. I don't play as much at all since the console split thing, but I always come back. I really liked Elite 2 (Atari ST), and it seems to me that console ED is almost the same as that.. apart from the fact it needs to connect to a server.. it'd be great if it was offline, like an Elite 2 remaster. Obv it's not that simple, and always online lends itself to an income stream better, but they managed to fit the galaxy on a 700k floppy about 30 years ago and maybe could do thargoid dlc or something

I'd buy it anyway

I think that many would buy a dlc even if it was just the stuff they had aledgelly managed to get working before giving up completely . Latest figures suggest consoles still are around the 10% mark of active players ( a best guess using numbers from leaderboards ) which is surprising considering after 2 years + of nothing .
I would give them a couple of quid considering the hours I have in game .

Just a quick FYI - I played Legacy Horizons* for several hours this afternoon with no issues whatsoever.

* I need the occasional fix of seeing ships that are in wings - not a team in sight.

Are you playing legacy on PC or on console ?
I'm not even sure it would make a difference ?
But I don't think I have had a session without at least some issues, that's been playing by myself or in a wing . It's sort of classed it as one of many elite idiosyncrasies that we are used to ??

Yeah - sorry - PC - The only console in the house is a WiiU - LOL
