Powerplay Legacy Open-only Powerplay

So, with the galaxy split happening in Update 14, it would be great if the Legacy-mode of Horizons was used to test Open-only Powerplay. This in my observation would begin fixing relations with many of the organized powerplay groups.
It's the perfect solution to a controversial update, a split galaxy that can only be affected in Open play would at least give some players what they want.

3.8 is going Legacy - as in maintenance mode - no updates, no dev.
It simply gets frozen in the current state, as is at the moment of the split

It's not going to be an offline mode, nor a open only mode.
Just the good old 3.8, with bgs, with pp, but no narrative, no cg, no galnet.

I guess the expectations would be that it will slowly get devoid of players and die.
However, that remain to be seen.
I think FDev might be doing some experiments here too...

Its entirely realistic, it just takes some design work- for example my dedicated Open / Solo mode idea gives everyone what they want (Solo and PG 'make' PP cargo Open people move).

Also Powerplay is not a 'relaxing journey' and should never be seen that way- its the only feature in ED that is explicitly confrontational- its just the NPCs don't confront.

Completely agree and if there was a way to separate those who want to do the PvP thing for PP away from those who just want to grief i would be up for that.

3.8 will eventually die, i cant see the point in spending man/woman hours on an old game, they should concentrate on the future.

Well, if no-one minds. My powerplay commander will be playing open only in Horizons 4.0 from update 14 onwards. Don't want to play two versions of the game now.
