I've certainly learnt a load of new tricks along the way!Obsessed with angles and flush fitting? No, not me...
Been redoing angled sections to maximise the crispness (the red angled plate is a stand in):
As well as 'cleaning' (i.e. rationalising the greebles) the front glacis and ventral surfaces:
And started to properly think about the winglets and aerodynamic surfaces to give the model some believably (no to mention test out some chunky thrusters )
The other is deciding on the colours- I did use a dark crimson (since I had a few tiles of it) but decided to stick to the yellow / beige / blue highlights.

Yes, the dorsal plates on the back (as well as the back section with the thrusters etc) are the last to be done.

Cheers! Its really heavy now- I just discovered that the rear of the ship is heavier than the front (when the front plate is taken off) and that it wants to flip back if I push the wrong way

Let's hope it didn't skip leg day.
I bet it will still be able to auto-land on 1g planets much better than its electronic counterpart, and with less overall damage.Cheers!
