You should try to get this in the newsletter when it's done mate. It is absolutely outrageous in a great way
If we do ever get ship interiors FD really should model the Asp Scout's on this in way of recognition.Just freestyling- I'm not aware of any interiors so I went with making my own and trying to keep things logical and consistent (i.e. each level has access to the others, all access is correctly sized etc).
Its quite hard to explain- the white panels are simply angled up and each end secured with Technic axles. The grey panels are secured in two places by ball clip joints and at the outer edge by a double joint I made from Technic to allow for that angle.how did you connect the bottom rear panels?
could I see the double joint please? if its not too much trouble. I am currently working on a muuuuch smaller asp and the lower panels are kicking my but rn. I've attached them but they are only attached by one joint. Its quite hard to explain- the white panels are simply angled up and each end secured with Technic axles. The grey panels have to be higher as you have a quite annoying inset slot here:

thanks manIn short I have an angled beam that the plate clips onto and bends up at the right angle and is fastened by the technic connector below:

Cheers! I'll have to buy more Lego (mainly plates, tiles and inverted slopes) but since I design as I go along sometimes I'll refactor areas and free Lego for other areas. But I'm much closer to finishing than I look- nearly all of the internal structure is finalised now (since I can mirror what I do on one side with the other). Some awesome work there Rubbernuke, really looking forward to seeing the finished Asp, so don’t forget to take a load of photos to show us ok!
Also - do you have enough lego to finish? I know you said you bought more a while back but it’s looking like you’re using a lot!
I thought I was good with Lego once.. geeze..
Looks absolutely sick. Angled sections are always hard in legoWhile we wait for some minor update to the game (name escapes me) here is an update on the Scout- working on the outer skin alignment, trying to keep it as crisp as possible.

The white panel folds out, while the top lifts off to expose the interior sections. RCS thrusters are placeholder (although I have a part in mind to lower the height a bit).
Started thinking about the wings too, and how to support them (which is going to be....interesting).
Ironically no- now I've done one side I can price up the other half and its not that bad- my wife might even let me finish![]()
