I don't....actually knowI take it you realise that the red sofa triples the value of the scout, yes?
Good work btw - still looking forward to the finished model. When it is finished what will you do with it then, display it - or break down into another ship?
And I'll have a proper ship interior tooThat is awesome! I was actually thinking about this build the other day, given the price of lego bricks today, and the seemingly unfathomable relative inexpensiveness of ships in Elite's 34th century setting, your asp scout probably costs more money than the actual ship does.

Well, there is a 'flap' that folds outwards that has a thruster on one side, and I just could not eye twitches deal with having it simply 'stuck on' one side. I felt compelled to build the engine on the inside as well. I could have built this thing six times over if I had not listened to the voices whispering do the inside.... so maybe FD are the same ones....
I started out with a fair amount of 80s Lego but so far I'd say about £400 ish so far - by the end it will most likely cost a UCS Millennium Falcon since it will be about 8000 bricks (and be about the same size- its 92 cm wide, 30cm tall, 64cm long, but with a near full interior as well). How much is this costing? Looks a lot and the last time I was on BrickLink the prices were pretty eye-watering.
Also, how big is the box?
(This is also so I get notifications about this, every now and then I stop getting pushed to the first unread post in a thread and I end up back at the beginning.)
Cheers! Thats what I'm going for, especially the shuttle- the Narcissus:Love the grebling!!!!
Oh man, getting some Nostromo vibes from parts of that Asp.
Great stuff![]()
Ironically, I picked up the UCS Millenium Falcons little cousin, the 75257 set and had fun building it (then ripping it apartYou should check out the book Alien: The Blueprints if you haven’t already?
I think LEGO are retiring the UCS Falcon this year, although it is insanely expensive, price per Brick is actually very good. But expect the prices to start inflating, if you were after a ton of bricks.
In the depths of the forum, there's a picture of the mini Type 6 that my son and I built from the smaller Millenium Falcon set. It was great for pieces. I think we even got a mini Sidewinder out of it as well. I was happy to have made three internal rooms, with enough room for the mini-SRV. Nothing like this, though.Ironically, I picked up the UCS Millenium Falcons little cousin, the 75257 set and had fun building it (then ripping it apart). That set was great for parts, with a good mix of plates, greeble bits and general bits.
