Well..... there probably are limits.
As for pineapple on pizza.... meh. It's aight.
Try rocket on hot pizza. The heat from the pizza changes the flavour of the rocket, it loses the bitterness, and then yum, yum yum.

For my part I prefer the salted pizza. A good ham, cheese, mushroom and black olive. 
But I do not doubt that the pineapple must have its place, otherwise they would not do it.
