Well, I interpret this quote from Michael :

....as meaning that we can't focus our attack on a single station - I think that only effects the types of missions you're likely to get from that station. If stations don't hold shares of the overall influence, then we can work from any station in the system as long as we:
1. only do CSG missions (or betray other faction's missions)
2. only trade in markets in CSG owned stations
3. only use outfitting/shipyards in CSG owned stations
After some work an event will trigger. If it's a civil war, CSG must win it (although I'm still unclear is this is a physical warzone or just a period where we need to keep running the missions etc.) . If CSG wins then any stations being owned by the losing faction become CSGs. If CSG loses then the other faction get the CSG stations.
That would certainly explain what we've seen so far and I suspect we have to work quite a bit longer to get LFE into a civil war status...
Of course, I'm probably wrong!

Hi Hamalot, welcome to Lugh!
Yes, please only take Crimson State Group missions.
Also, only buy/sell goods in CSG stations.
Other than that, have fun! See you out there.

Hey, flying in now to Lugh.
As mentioned in the OP, take up faction missions, kill / pirate non-faction entities (including other players?), and generally try not to bite the dust?
