Lets test this persistent universe and see if FD are true to their word.

Just to repost from the Milkunn thread earlier today:

Thanks to Flin for persuing that info! So that suggests we're on the right track: flipping the stations in reverse size order would seem to be the sensible course of action. And we should really work on targetting a single station.

Does that suggest that we could change from the tactic that some of us have been doing where we trawl several ports for missions and then head out? The effect would be that we'd be less efficient at changing the total influence but more effective at flipping individual ports.

Just a thought...

PS. Having the Hartsfield Tea Party sounds like the perfect finalé

More info:

Now my head is spinning! This suggests we should work across all stations to increase overall influence.
Don't miss out the part where Michael wrote about actual bugs preventing some things to happen and that he doesn't have an ETA for the fix yet. The Civil War Cooldown is still active (after the civil war for Balandin which nobody has noticed) and it looks like Lugh also is affected by one of the bugs. So don't expect a takeover in the next days..

I also took a screenshot of the population numbers.

By the way, I had a fight with a security ship after it interdicted me.
Just after that, an Anaconda came in... and I flew away ^^

Arent population numbers still bugged and capped at 2^32?

Edit: at least in the system map.... galaxy map shows right number.

It's usually the biggest one owned by the controlling faction of the system.

Michael

In case of Lugh system i think this would be Hartsfield Market if i am right ?
Some other question: In an other post you said that also systems can change ownership. Means if we manage to flip the controlling station in Lugh which is a Federation one for CSG (Independent) the whole system will be an Independent system then ?

PS: Sorry for my bad english and big thx for your clarifications.

I'm now convinced there's actually a display bug with the pending states tags. I was docked at Hartfield station, checked my control panel for CSG states and saw Boom Critical as one tag and Civil War as another tag. I then closed my control panel, reopened it, and saw both tags had disappeared. I can't imagine the states have actually been flipping on and off as often as I've seen them do.

If Hartsfield is genuinely is in a state of Civil War, it might be a good idea to concentrate our efforts on this station rather then Anderson. If there is a narrow window of opportunity to flip this station, before another cool down, then I wouldn't want to miss this chance.

I didn't have the time to do many missions last night, though the gold mission was too good to pass up, and there was something I wanted to test last night. I'm about a hundred light years away right now. When I get home, I'll turn right around and make a beeline back to Lugh.

Stations don't hold shares. It's held on a per system basis. As influence moves relative to another faction then it could trigger an event, one of which being civil war. If the civil war is with a faction owning the station and they lose then ownership of the station is transferred to the winning faction.

If the station happens to be the controlling station for the system, then the winning faction becomes (or remains) the controlling faction for the system.

Michael

Thanks for you answers :)
One thing bother me : If influence is not "shared" between stations, then what means influence gain in the mission summary ? (usually 1%)

I'd bet on Cavendish as, IMO, outpost are "cheaper" than big station like that...

But Lugh 6 with Hartfield Market seems to be the homeworld in Lugh as it is an Earth-Like World with probably the highest population in Lugh. But i dont know if planets and stations count as the same when it comes to population.

Yeah but Canvendish ring = Big station + lot of security ships =/ Hartfield which is a "small" outpost without security.
Of course, I have no idea :D

Sorry for ot. I am on my Duty Ride through Lugh. Bought me a cheap Type 6 so that i can get more Missions done at the same time. Can't find a Trader for a 64er cargohold in the Systems. Anyone who knows a Station?

Edit: And yeah awesome News!! This is what i wanna see. :)

Yeh we have to find out and come to an agreement at which station we are going to push now all together.
Also it would be interesting how many people can live on the different types of stations because i dont think the majority of all 15.3 billions of people in Lugh are all living on Lugh 6 :)

Not necessarily. Mars is the capitol of the Federation, yet Earth is the cradle of humanity.

I'm assuming most of the population of Lugh are planet side.

As for which station we should push for, I'll again note that Hartsfield Market iseems to be in a state of civil war right now! This is an opportunity that may not come again for some time. We need to support the freedom fighters of Lugh who even now are struggling to survive in the corridors and rings of the station!

Breaking News on GalNet! :)

Omg we are on GalNet this is maybe going to be very dangerous for us if huge amounts of new players will decide to come to Lugh and work for Federation.

EDIT: Also hoping that FD wont inject any Events..

How do you know that ?
I don't think pending states are station related. (Michael said influence wasn't, IMO it's the same for pending states? )

Where do you see this ? Nothing on galnet here :(

EDIT : Thanks for the screenshot !!
I see it now in the galnet after logoff

I think we are far more organized than random players joining in the system, but of course we should be aware and double our afforts. i´m doing about 20-30 missions each day and getting about 1000 tons cargo in and out of the system and i´m pretty sure most players working for lugh doing even more - so let´s work together as we did till now :)

I saw it but it seems gone for some reason. Maybe only a test by FD!?

I think I went to the large station on Zeaex for Type 6 equipment. Wheelock?
Thx. I checked that but they sell only 32er cargos. Have to look further :)
