Lets test this persistent universe and see if FD are true to their word.

Yes indeed - bring on the war!

It was kinda funny though - the only fed ships to survive longer than a couple of seconds were the anacondas and boy did they get a thrashing. We also had quite a few trying to turn tail and run. It was funny seeing a few of us break from the group and boost after them with gusto. The thought of someone slipping away? Not if we can help it.

I think I remember only one getting away - sure he can limp back to his friends, cracked windshield and all and tell them of "the horror" of Cavendish and Hartsfield.

As Orfeboy said before - Send your dreadnought.

We're waiting now, taunting you from our lines.

I quite enjoyed flying my (brand new) Eagle to do videoing Apologies to those of you I hit while I was looking through the roof, but it does produce good video without the HUD in the way!

Here's a Vine video just as a teaser....

Interesting that after a while there weren't any more decent security ships, just Vipers and such. As if there was actually a limited supply at the station and no other craft arrived from elsewhere.

That is brilliant! Quite the camera man we are becoming, eh Nightstorm?

I am very impressed with that. Did you get much more footage of that quality?

Quite a bit, except for the really good section in the middle that was when I wasn't recording. I got really close to some explosions then...

Edit: Please drop no Exploration Data for the moment at CSG stations because it will increase boom. We have pending states Boom Critical + and we dont want this state now.

What the hell happened there?

Just dropped 4,7mio Discovery Data at Balandin. Hope it helps :)

If he is trolling or not i told people before our trade marathon on sunday where we hit Boom Critical to drop Exploration Data at CSG stations.

Anyway it doesnt have such a high impact i think.

PS: Just had a talk with Drachenmaul. He is 19.000 LYs away from Lugh and got interdicted by a Cmdr in an Anaconda out there in space ! But he could get away with 40 % hull :)

I dont know. I didnt had much time yesterday, wasnt in Lugh but managed to push the Freedom party of LTT 4846 +2.3% with trading.

Anyway it is important that we keep CSG's influence on a high level the next days but i need also a lots of credits in case something will happen.

Go on Drachenmaul! Come home safe. There will be danger enough here in Lugh when you arrive!

As for exploration data.... Could it be that leaving in data actually costs us money but has a benificial effect elsewhere? Mauze was of the opinion last night that we ran up a collective bounty of about 2,000,000 cr.

That is 333 ships destroyed. It seems crazy to me that we lost ground and LFE gained. The only thing I can think of that could have such an effect is a 4,000,000 exploration deposit.

Any thoughts?

Alternatively:

LFE seem to gain if left unchecked. Is this what we are seeing here? It may be that since Lockdown came in for LFE that that particular state freezes all piracy effect on influence.

If you think about it this way: Influence falls because it becomes obvious to the population that the police cannot protect them. There are too many 'bandits' in the system and people a fearful to go anywhere. Lockdown ensues and the Navy is called in to contain the situation. There is now a huge presence of military ships in the system and this makes people feel secure. Then attacks on the police ships have little impact on the peoples outlook because the army has things under control.

Now lockdown must have some bad effects too for LFE but if I am right then this might be the games way of stopping players just ruling the game by rampage tactics alone?

Aw that vine is brilliant. Do you know who's cobra that was?

Sorry, as I was looking through the roof I couldn't ID people!

If you liked that, you'll love this

Definitely wasn't mine. I'm using beams and cannons - whoever that was used something much more rapid-fire right at the start. Couldn't tell whether the beams were fixed or gimballed though.

By the way, you might spot green-ish pulse lasers coming from some ships towards the end of the YT clip. I don't know what they are - it sort of looks like it's mis-rendering thruster jets.

You are definitely getting better at this lark Nightstorm :)

Are you seeing by fixed mount beam laser firing from behind you? You will see me flying into the picture at the end of the video :)

I ask because I remember flying through a fireball just like that. I got burst lasers and multi cannons.

As for the green lasers - point defence turrets? I know I got two in place and I got rapid firing green lasers firing off every now and then. At first I thought it was a ship tailing me.

I once cashed in more then 8 millions at a time where not much was going on in Lugh. Influence went up by 0.2% the next day but i dont know if it was caused by the exp data. I also thought about who pays for the data but Universal Cartographics seems to be a whole own organisation around the galaxie. Anyway Michael Brookes said it has an impact on the faction/station where you sell it.

Possible. Bizarre, as they tend to be seen firing when there are only friendly ships around, but possible. That said, I noticed there were loads of mines sitting around, so maybe the PDTs were picking those off as you (all) went past!

Point Defense Turrets

I will drop you a pm.

Yeah those numbers are interesting.

I was just thinking these sorties are kind of expensive what with the settling of bounties and fines. I was thinking I'll have to dust down the T6 over the weekend and get a bit of trading done to finance things. This war will be expensive.

Then I got thinking - when you're settling your bounties and fines after a big ol' raid....where exactly does that money go? What influence (if any) does it have on the system? We've racked up quite a tab this week.

DO NOT PAY YOUR BOUNTY IN THE LUGH SYSTEM!

We do not know how this impacts things but it certainly will not do us any good. Always make sure you pay off bounties somewhere else.
