Lets test this persistent universe and see if FD are true to their word.

oh and if you have a vulture and you have overpower levelled it by, say for example, lowering priority on the cargo module, don't sit there like an idiot for five minutes with a canister in front of you wondering why your cargo scoop wont deploy... un deploy your weapons then the cargo scoop will work ... um just saying .. not that I know anyone silly enough to have done this.. really

Looks like there is a lot of exciting stuff happening in Lugh...
I think I will take a long trip tonight (I am at the heart of Imperial space ATM) and join the CSG in their struggle...
Operation Dullahan might be just right for me.
CU! :)

Welcome pilot! Your help will be very useful here!

I've managed to get back in Lugh during my lunch break today (for what it's worth!)

I've already picked up the Balandin Community Goal and will head to Hartsfield this evening and start on the Convoy asap. I'll probably be in solo mode most of the time as my poor old PC stutters when there's too many commanders around, but I may try Open once I've tested the water.

I know you guys can pull this off. Keep it up! :)

Theorically, I think you could play for both sides and make money while not really helping anyone to win this war.

Now, as Orfeboy has already said many times, if we win all those who have fought for us will be able to say "I was there, I helped Lugh to become the first system to secede from the Federation". And playing alongside the the core members of the CSG supporters has been the best fun I've had in ED, by far.

Yeah, if I was in the area and not doing other things; I would probably play both sides and make my money and forget about this foolishness. But that is just me, and I play Solo anyway...

I can can get the same payoff plus whatever combat bonds from one run at the Convoy Beacon as I can in my 216 ton Type 7 on one of the best runs I can find. I think 8 tons Military Intelligence "canisters" I could get just under 350kcr
I had to leave for work when the suggestion was made to downgrade shields to get more storage in a Vulture. I will definitely be looking for class 4 shields when I get home. It's another Beta Sculptoris - Fan Horizons bonanza. Better!?

(Again: for Lugh!!! ;-) but if you want just Money then you're welcome, please help yourselves!)

There's a group of 'Fed' commanders who have no qualms about flying CSG colours to lurk when scouting out the conflict zones, then switching sides as soon as their buddies turn up. Under the commonly-accepted rules of war, this lumps them in with spies and pirates and other scum.

As such I will be keeping a KOS list of all Commanders I see pulling this trick. Just a couple of names so far, which I can't post here because rules, but I will share the list with Roybe and other loyal CSG pilots.

To the slime-suckers who like to pull this trick: if I see you in a zone, wearing my colours or not, I am going to do everything I can to ruin your day. Summary execution is the penalty for being caught as a spy in wartime.

I've been running the vulture without a shield cell bank and its enough to make a million per run.

I'm doing the same. 4 pips to shields and I have all the time I want to fetch the cannisters. This is easy money and i'm in the top 40% with just 70 cannisters collected. My only problem is the cargo hatch is too easy to destroy with class 3 lasers. with the viper I got more cannisters per type 9.

What size cargo hold do you have? I just swapped out my class 5 shield for a class 4, that left the size 5 compartment for for a 32T rack.

2 shield boosters and a class 1 shield cell keep me alive.

I know this might seem very obvious but have you got each laser set to a different button? There's no need to fire them both to open a hatch.

My problem with the persistent universe is that the background sim updates once every 24 hours. I'm a member of a group within mobius group who set out own goals similar to Galnet. Where we usually defend alliance space by propping up a faction that is almost extinct within a system. Only problem is the background sim doesn't update enough. We do our thing for a few hours, come back the next day to find that our faction we supported instantly grew over 70% influence after the update. Moments before it was in the single digits.

Things need to be either slowed down so influence doesn't take place so fast. Or the background sim needs to be updated multiple times a day, 2 or 4 times. Otherwise with a concentrated effort of less than 10 players you mighty have to wait almost a whole day to see if your target of a remaining 3% change took place.
