Lets test this persistent universe and see if FD are true to their word.

No update since yesterday evening's 49.1%. I've done 31 missions today and I've not finished yet, so I'm hoping that we'll have made some headway...

Superb work. Yeah I was on till the wee hours with Echo and Starschulz. Hope we made a difference.

I'm currently playing with friends who just got started (due to the release on Steam) and trying to maitain the IPS afloat after a long period of inactivity (caused by the War in Lugh and some unfun RL stuff) but I managed to get back in Lugh and do a bit over 10 missions for CSG yesterday. I hope this helped a bit.

This said if some trouble arises in Lugh, just sound the alarm bell and I'll come back in a hurry !

Fair play to you Xeonyx. Everything helps. Drop by when you can.

Friends of Lugh

Keep up the good work. Take more missions for CSG if you can. Swing by the system and lend a hand. We need you now. Your support in the past is why we are in control. This will never be forgotten. You who have made this possible are still part of this. You have a claim in this system. I would hope many of you call this system your home.

We will not show weakness. We beat them because of our resolve. That resolve remains strong in us all. We beat them because we do not recognise oppression. The Sons of Conn were here long before the seeds of corruption were sown in this part of the Galaxy. This "Federation" is at the root of this dark flower that propagates, overshadows and blights true systems such as our own.

On this Easter Sunday, a day thats meaning goes beyond common religion, I ask you to look at this day as a new sunrise. A dawn for Lugh and its supporters. A reason to fight.

Your support is what makes us what we are
Your support is true
Your support brings hope
Lugh Lámhfhada Abú

Phew! That's 43 missions done, finishing off with a nice three Anaconda assassination missions for fun and profit! My highest daily total ever!

I didn't spot anyone at all in the Lugh system in open play, which was kind of sad!

With everyone efforts we've gained 6.5% influence since yesterday. That's good, but worryingly though the smallest 3 factions' influence dropped significantly, LFE's influence rose by 1.1%. Draw your own conclusions on why that should be, but it shows that we can't just coast if we're to keep what we're worked for so far.

Trojan effort my friend. Well done. I'm in here now fighting the good fight.

Everybody reading this - get to Lugh. Take CSG missions. We can do this!

I'm going to be representing us on Lave Radio's Conclave programme (here's the first) which is going to be recorded this evening and released in about a week's time. Also on is Monte Fisto from the Mercs and Liquid Capnip, the founder (I think) of East India Company. It's not role playing but a discussion programme about how groups like ours work in ED and how they could be made better.

On that topic, one of the questions it looks like we'll get is: Which features and functionalities would we like to see Frontier include in the game to support groups/clans/meta game functionality? Thoughts?

I think a great option would be the ability to set someone as either red or green to easily identify them on the radar.

Well, after some exploring and a couple of Imperial ranks gained I've run five missions in Lugh tonight. Can't promise to do so every night as I want another 30 mill or so before I trade "inadequate Kindness" in for a Ferdie. But if I'm in the neighborhood I'll stop by and contribute.

im debating trading the vulture in for a FdL. can we get a short discussion on pros/cons going? i need convincing one way or the other.

i do all PvE, mainly bounty hunting/assassinations (when im not grinding empire rep or lugh missions). dont like trading, dont plan on exploring, total assets at this time are just shy of 70mil

part of my hesitation comes from grinding my way to baron. i dont want the clipper, but i was considering saving up for future imperial ships...any idea what theyre going to be used for (trading/combat/exploration/multipurpose) ?

plus i absolutely ADORE the vulture. that speed/maneuverability coupled with impressive firepower? hard to let go of...

...I plan on collecting every ship in the game... except the Types. I'll just keep a Type 9.

Keep the Vulture. Continue earning. If you wind up loosing your FDL, the Vulture is a nice backup.

Can anyone give me any reason why i should get a Federal Dropship? Other than future troop landings and such?

No but I'll give you a reason not to; it has all the handling characteristics of a house-brick!
I was really looking forward to swanning around the galaxy in a dropship, and then I bought one. At the moment turrets don't work on the sidepoints unless you set them to fire forward, so you're easily taken out by anything that's manouverable. Cargo space isn't bad, and you can tank it, but I lasted about 3 hours before ditching it for an asp.

What does the faction represented in the image below indicate? The faction the wanted ship is allied with? The faction that wants them dead? If it is the faction that wants them dead then when they're killed do you get a reputation/influence gain with the faction that put out the bounty?

The faction they belong to. Since it shows up as wanted, the faction that has placed a bounty on them is the controlling faction of the system or a faction associated with the same major faction (Federation, Alliance or Empire) as the controlling faction of the system.

If you kill a target, you will gain rep with the faction that wants them dead. If their own faction was the one that wanted them dead or if it is affiliated with the same major faction as the one that wanted them dead, you don't lose any rep. Else, you lose rep with their faction.

PS : back in Lugh to do some missions today (with a brave little Hauler shuttle :D). CSG is currently at 55% (arrow down) and LFE at 40% (arrow up). Both are currently in boom but lockdown and civil unrest are critical for CSG ...

It is the ship's allied faction, so if they're wanted and you destroy them, *probably* you lose influence with the faction, that faction loses influence but that faction gets reduced lockdown (a good thing). On that basis we've generally avoided destroying CSG NPC ships even if they're wanted. But it's so tempting when you see one with a big bounty on their head...

Just returned from a quick tour-de-discoverie. Dumped all data at Balandin with a value of over 1,2 mill (agreed, not much by popular standard, but to me it's plenty)

And got this "Congratulations Mad-Max" for the first time! I'm super excited! Wonder if my rank went up, were too overjoyed to remember to check :)

More discovering to come. My trusty Cobra does an excellent job in that regard.

That's not that bad considering you were using a Cobra. Trust me, when you get into the ASP and explore you will love it. Taking 30 LY jumps is great and with a class 6 fuel scoop she won't even need to stop to refuel, it's like a Phoenix flying through the fire :)
