£130 to finish an incomplete game that I have already paid for?
No thanks.

It was clear from very early on that extra content was going to be released as paid for expansions. I agree that the game is not complete, but you don't have to pay any more to get the missing content. That will come as part of the main game.

So I'm having a hard time understanding your gripe... unless you really didn't understand the whole expansion concept.

What gameplay? xD
I have been playing this game since release. Major bugs are still present, and there is barely anything to do that doesn't turn into a grindfest.
Wana be a pirate? tough , 20T cargo limit and no profits.
Missions aren't too bad but they are exactly the same, no depth to them.
I think I'll save my money to get me and my friends another unnamed space game, that has all these features to begin with and doesn't charge £130 extra for them.

Cmdr PiLhEaD settles back, smug in his comfy armchair, thinking fondly of the LEP purchased during beta, for only thirty-five of your Great British Pounds.

Aaah yes, do you feel the irritating smugness oozing from the screen, do you?

:D

Don't buy it, it will be quite a few years before you actually save any money and you are only gambling on whether the game will still be of interest to you by then.

Also once the company has your money you lose what little clout you have as a customer i.e the decision not to give them any more of it if you don't like the product or how you are treated.

My gripe is that i would rather not gamble on an unfinished game that has a history breaking promises by spending the outrageous price of £130, or £30 per expansion.
If you dont understand my gripes then you clearly have no sense of worth, I'm sorry.

Sure, instead you will gamble on another unnamed space game with a history of breaking promises.

I'm not sure why you are attacking my sense of worth. No need to get personal, even when you add a pretend apology.

Source please

Otherwise i call bull

i`ve had enough "vertical slice" and "miracle patch" theories in this games development period

Search for yourself, my middle name isn't Google. It's been mentioned a few times in newsletters I'm sure.

I'm happy to support Frontier, the way I see it is that I have already had my monies worth (over 600 hours). That and the fact that I have saved money, by not wanting to buy many other games as i'm quite happy pottering about in the game:)

I already have... and there is not a single definitive answer apart from their store (but its not the answer one would hope to get)

Newsletters mean nothing (at least that's what the white knights say when somebody points to stuff that was promised in the newsletter), the only thing FD can be held responsible to is what their store says... and it says nothing about adding missing content to the main game, it only says about bugfixes and small tweaks

I`m sure some things will be added... but the missing content you have mentioned is more than what we currently have in game, and nowhere has it been even hinted at that we will ever get it (and the last Answers from the devs seems to suggest that a lot of it has been already completely scrapped), especially for free ... so please kindly stop the misinformation

I passed.

I prefer to buy each time, when convinced it is good enough. If Frontier delivers, then they will have more of my money.

I don't like paying in advance. If everyone does that, what incentive are they going to have to deliever a high quality product? I haven't bought Horizons yet either! Need so see mooooore

When you talk about missing content are you referring to the DDF?

Well it's not black and white but I do think core game features will be expanded for base ED players. ie new missions, the depth of the current missions, new mission mechanics and so on.

The thing is there is only one ED "galaxy" and all players share it, if (for sake of argument) a new ship is added for season pass players then it simply must be added for base ED players, if that's not done then you start to run into all sorts of issues which then have to be worked around. Yes it's possible it might not be flyable but it must at least be in game and viewable as a ship model flying about.

The same with other mechanics, it will often make sense to just add it to core, in that it would be too complicated and require extra work to make the galaxy behave differently for season vs core only players.

Planetary landings is a clear exception to this since it can easily be walled off, other added game mechanics not so easy.

If say a huge alien generation ship is added to the game, what are they going to make it "invisible" to core players? Not likely.

Who said anything about gambling on said unnamed space game? I'll buy it when it releases.
