Likedeeler: New group and minor faction in the system Michel for Elite Dangerous starting at the end of February 3302!

Likedeeler: New PvE group and minor faction in the systems Michel and Colonia [LoMaC]!

We are the Likedeeler!

Briefly: We are a PVE Player Group of 200 drunken Pilots, running more than two dozen systems around our home system of Michel, right at the southern border of the bubble.

Look up to the sky and just south of the zodiac Sculptor a bright star will show you where to find us!

We have also been awarded a system in the Colonia region, named Helgoland, and established an active player community up there.

So we support two ingame Factions, the Likedeeler of Michel and the Likedeeler of Colonia, established in more than 40 systems. That´s why we take the acronym LoMaC for Likedeeler of Michel and Colonia.

We would be very happy, if you would like to support us.
Free beers and delicious sausages are granted on any of our stations for you kind help!

You could also find us on INARA. Click on the Banner below to visit our German site.

Who we are

We follow the tradition of the Victual Brothers, which significantly influenced the life and culture of the inhabitants of the North Sea and Baltic Sea regions during the 14th century.
Klaus Stoertebeker is our best known forefather. The privateer captain had earned the name (from the Low German of „Overthrow the mug“) because of his drinking firmness. Think of him as a sailing and drunken version of Robin Hood.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victual_Brothers

We are a mixed bunch: impoverished nobility, fearless traders, fled slaves, courageous smugglers, brief debtors, well paid-up privateers, untiring adventurers and sometimes also NPC hunting pirates. Everybody is welcome to find his luck with our merry band of courageous swashbucklers. Woman or man, young or old, Elite or Harmless: Join us to get a new game experience.

What we do

Likedeeler (not LikedeelerS, because it is plural already) is a Low German word for "equal sharer". This means mutual support and loyalty among all of us. Pinches are shared equally amongst all involved in wing activities. If nobody is in your Wing, you can of course keep everything to yourselves. But under some circumstances a few canisters of gold could fall mistakenly from your Anaconda to one or another Likedeeler, so that the poor sister or new brother in the small Sidewinder can at least pay for some beer and imperial slaves.
The successors to the Victual Brothers gave themselves the name Likedeeler ("equal sharers": they shared with the poor coastal population. We chose the name Likedeeler instead of Victual Brothers (some say Victual sounds like a mix of Virtual and Fictional, but this was one of their real names in the medieval) to be more inviting for female Players and keep things straight and simple. You still don’t get the picture? Maybe think about a mixture of Robin Hood’s friends and the Crew of the Black Pearl, but a little more drunk and dirtier.

Briefly: Take from the NPC and give to the player! PVE Democrats!

Actually, we reject the hierarchical and feudal structure of the Empire. We believe only in talent and daring, not in origin. But maybe because of a few lucrative missons some of us have taken over from the nobility (e. g. , raids on close Metcalf Keep and other uncalled little things), we are esteemed by these authorities as successful privateers and are covered with ranks and money, but we are not loved. We are the dirty offspring of the Empire, not loved but often enlisted for tasks too shady for the imperial authorities. For those interested in comparative charaters: Captain Hector Barbossa, in service of the Royal Navy is a good description of our present relation to the empire.

http://pirates.wikia.com/wiki/Hector_Barbossa

The empire is allied with us, but we not necessarily with them. This will keep things more interesting. Maybe the initial spark for a big change lies in us also, but this only the future will reveal.
Even if we are not necessarily religious, the election slogan of our forefathers is valid for us, nevertheless:

God’s friends and all the world’s enemies!

We have chosen the system Michel as a native country to honor the famous Victual Brother Gödeke Michels and in support of the Hamburger St. Michaels Church, called Michel, in whose proximity so many Victual Brothers came to their end. This system contains everything we need: Trade with industrial goods, dockyard, equipment, planet rings, asteroid belts and a lot more in the neighborhood. It's the upcoming place to be. In the close Brestla and Run systems the moneybags sell almost every piece of equipment, you’d ever wish for. There is also a pristine metallic ring in the even closer Moyot system. We are the Truck Stop on the way to Fehu, have the secret ways to Sothis, Maia and Robigo, whose investigation data bring excellent prices in our system. We are their natural pals and mates. Moreover, we are the origin for exploratory missions into the unknown. We are the frontline to the predicted 3303 Thargoid incursion. Away from the center of the bubble we can expand our influence and new horizons.

We arose in April 3302 in the game with only a few percent. Now, in February 3304, we govern 28 Systems, and are EDDB’s Top imperial player faction in the entire Universe.
And we are not stopping here! Join us, take on missions for us, act with us, drink with us, celebrate with us and be a part of an even brighter future!

Chug the mug!

P.S : The hug of the Mugs
It is of course well known, that the Huttons also cause the mug in Crest.
The mug seems to be a strange cosmic permanent in this universe .
Of course, only we appeal to a 1900 year old tradition with the mug! Who can otherwise?
After several stormy pub brawl with the Huttons we can agree on a warm friendship among alcoholics.
Our logo is upside down on the eternal mug, because we can drink up faster than the Huttons. We prove this on every meeting with them.
But we would be very happy if they help us to fill our mugs.
Because what else is at stake in this universe?
To not offend the Truckers, we changed our tagline recently from "Overthow the Mug" to "Chug the Mug", but we are all not native speakers, so feel free to tell us this is in any way not approriate.

Chug the Mug

Thanks to Ben Kelsey for editing the translation! [smile]

so what do you aim for PVE PVP powerplay?
and what kind of pilots do you expect? casual or hardcore.
also around what time zone since playing in evenings doesnt quite work on an international scale

Thanks for your questions!

I short: PvE

Casual players are very welcome, hardcore of cause, too.

We are located in Europe like the Likedeeler.

But things could change, if you like to change it.

Greetings

Good news everyone!

After all we are established in the Michel System!
The Likedeeler are started in the system Michel with the usual few percent influence .

Now it is time to solve Likedeeler missons, besides making money and by the way increase your own empire ranking to rise our influence .

Stage is yours

Overthrow the mug!

this sounds really interesting!

what is your minor factions goverment type? Imperial/ Rebel?

how do you organize? teamspeak, discord, reddit, ...?

I'm not so much of a teamplayer, but i like to help with BGS related things ... and your ethos is very tempting :D

You are very welcome! We are just Greenhorns in terms of flipping systems, but is more fun and the influence bar becomes interesting. As Likedeeler we have to be democrats, because we invented this kind of goverment. So in the beginnig we could use this thread to find a way to organize our strategie. The huge station just flipped yesterday to a not empire Faction! Bibek Labour are the guys to overthrow. We are happy to meet you! OTM

btw. - "overthrow the mug" is at least misleading for me in context of ED - my first thought was: is this a group that wants to fight the Hutton Orbital Truckers? one of their signatures is "for the mug!" -> http://huttonorbital.com/
