35,000 ly round trip to the Achilles's Altar region and only 3 new ELW's to show for it. Those entries are in the public spreadsheet.
-CLAUDIUS NERO 777-
For some reason my second & third entries in the public spreedsheet morphed into being just copies of the first so I reentered them.

All updated again. As usual, thanks for the submissions!

Oh, and @ TexasVet, not sure what happened there. I noticed that there were three of the same ELW there, but you fixed this before I could let you know. Not sure what happened - might have just been me though. In any case, they are on the list correctly now.

First submission so hopefully in the correct format -
Oh yeah, I forgot to say that thanks, it is. Welcome!

Just updated the public spreadsheet and added my ELW dump from my trip to the Zunou sector ...

253 entries in total ... enjoy :D
Welcome back, and thanks!
Where to next? ;)

Oh, and say, I don't suppose you know the maximum Helium percentage of the voxel you did? Usually easy enough to tell from gas giants. I just wonder about the metallicity inferred from them, and ELWs - but if you don't, then I'll swing by the boxel sometime and look it up myself.

Hmmm ... gonna take a break for a bit and play ADR1FT and/or Bendy & The Ink Machine

But I'll be back to see what the Fleet Carriers look like ...

Sorry, no. And I've no idea how to check ... is it something I can search for in the journal at all ? Or via EDSM ?

Did you scan some gas giants? If no, then you can't. If yes, then sure, you'd just have to look them up and see their helium percentages. But as I said, don't worry about it, I'll swing by and take a look later.

Yes, it seems I did ... lots

If you know a way to extract the data from EDDiscovery, let me know.

Otherwise I can hand-ball a few examples ... how much of a sample set do you need ?

... you'd just have to look them up and see their helium percentages.
Okay ... after a bit of hacking with awk and jq I've produced this:-

Hope that helps ... :geek:

Just as a reminder to myself here's what I ran ...
Bash:
awk '/Zunou JY-Z d13/ && /gas giant/' *.log | jq '. | {System: .BodyName, Percent: .AtmosphereComposition[1].Percent}' > gas_giants.txt
... and then just edited the .txt file to strip out all the superfluous text / formatting.

I read in elite wiki that elws are less likely to be found in/near the galactic core. (Does that mean the whole, huge central region with immense star density).

Is it therefore true to go outbound into the a. Arms or/and b. The "gaps" and "abysses"?

Thanks for any help and fly safe...

I don't know about that wiki, but the last time I ran over the data, it showed that there might be a slight increase inside the core. Even if it weren't uncertain, it still would be a much lower difference than what the main star / mass code this. To see in detail, see this guide.
In short, if it's quantity you're shooting for, filter your stars, and go where you will.

And yes, that's the core. Take a look at the maps on EDAstro, on some of them the core's boundaries come out clearly. For example, the big hole on Helium Rich Gas Giants, or the part where mass code A stars suddenly become much fewer, and so on.

On my way back out again, here's a few not my own that I've neglected to hand in, plus one that was a surprise discovery.

The first four have been in my books for a while now; if I recall correctly, the three in the middle of the table were actually "attained" by using one of those Road to Riches calculators, so I can't really claim credit for them. But they're not in the List yet, so I'll take 'em.

The last one, in Aucoks, is my surprise. I'm on my way back out to resume my ED7K Survey, and my destination sector is more or less in line with Sag A. A lot of the stars along my route are, therefore, already thoroughly explored. But I'd taken a detour, to visit the only known ELW orbiting a T-class brown dwarf, in the Aucoks DC-B a13-3 system, and my newfound ELW is only a couple of jumps away from there. The planet itself is a hot, tropical archipelago world, belonging to Group 1 (small, thin-aired) in my ELW classification system, though "thin-aired" is relative, since the atmospheric pressure is an exact match for Earth. With its evenly matched twin suns, if it were hotter and drier, this world might be a good analogue for Tatooine from Star Wars.
