List of Earth-like worlds, v2

Thanks once more for using the spreadsheet format! Your posts should go up shortly.

By the way, @ PaleGringo: say, how are you making your screenshots? Their contrast and saturation look different than usual, so I'm curious.
Those are captures from EDFX; I like how it auto PNGs them where as the "F10" method makes them into BMPs and I have to convert those to another format. I could, of course, go the long way around if it is a bother.

More confirmed ELWs from the second leg of #ExploreQuest. Now just the backlog of all the ones I found before that started.

Finally arrived in Colonia, and can now submit my next batch of Earth-likes. Again, the order is order of my discovery. This time, they didn't come in clusters, just one per sector at fairly regular intervals, about two ELWs per week.

My usual tourist notes:

Boeft: Another in the "small-cold-thin-aired" class of ELWs, with little to offer colonists other than the fact that it happens to lie almost on a direct line from Sol to the Core; the view of the Core from here is bracketed between the Boepp and Greae Phio nebulae. This is an archipelago planet with little visible land; if they gave me naming rights I'd name it "New Svalbard". If this world is too cold for you, the next planet out is a non-terraformable waterworld kept warm by a carbon dioxide-rich atmosphere.

Eeshorps: I spent considerable time and effort to find an ELW in the Eeshorps sector, failed, gave up, then found this one as I was on my way out of the sector. It's as cold as Boeft, but more Earth-sized and with thicker air. The view of the Eeshorps Nebula isn't as spectacular as I'd hoped, but I got a nice shot of the planet with the nebula behind.

Dryoea Flyao: A generally more habitable world than the first two in this post and a more interesting and varied system it finds itself in. The sunwards HMC is terraformable, and there may be more terraformables around the remote pair of red dwarf companion stars (at 96,000 Ls, there wasn't enough interest to tempt me to check it out). Again, I got a nice pic with three nebulae behind.

Athaip: Just four 40-LY-jumps away from the Great Annihilator I found this little jewel. It's much warmer than the others found so far, indeed at 292K (19 deg C) it's a temperate paradise. And landables? We gotcha landables right here, six of em (I only Tagged two), as well as one terraformable HMC (the next planet sunwards). This far into the Core, the sky is bright and nebula-free.

Stuemeae: I can't really claim credit for this one, it's the one Marx found just 60 LY from Sag A and invited me to co-Tag with him; I'm pleased that the ED system map is recognizing this properly, with his name first. Unless, of course, ED just sorts co-discoverers alphabetically. The world itself is fairly ordinary, as ELWs go, a bit on the small side, though I'm happy to note it's the first I've added to my list with a surface temp within 2 degrees of Earth-average. The rest of the system is also about average, with one non-terraformable waterworld neighbour. The secondary star is 300,000 Ls away and neither of us felt like going all the way out there. I'm afraid I was too distracted taking screenshots to remember to record the distance to Sol; I hope Marx didn't forget too.

Zunoae: Hot hot hot, it may not be hot enough to be disqualified from ELW classification but it's a perpetual Australian Christmas down there, at 304 K (31 deg C) average temp, on a small world in a tight tidally-locked co-orbit with a terraformable HMC. With that humidity, it's a jungle planet, not a desert one. The red dwarf binary pair are remote and planet-less.

Schee Flyi: At first glance, here is another "typical" ELW for this batch: small (again) and just a shave warmer than Earth-normal. What's atypical here is the near-perfect match for Earth-normal atmosphere composition (though it's a bit too thin to be considered "comfortable") and the day length, just 0.4 days (about 10 hours), is the fastest spin I've yet seen on an ELW. Elsewhere in the system, we've got a terraformable HMC and a large non-terraformable waterworld. If you want those asteroids and gas giants, you'll have to travel 200,000 Ls to Tag them.

Kyloaln: The first world in this batch around a secondary star. Fortunately, it's not too far away, only 13,000 Ls or so. There is one terraformable HMC around the primary star, and two more sunwards of the ELW. Plus the terraformable waterworld that is co-orbiting the ELW, that's a total of five terraformables to hunt down in this system. The ELW is another jungle planet, similar to Zunoae only bigger. The WW is co-orbiting close enough to provide a nice backdrop for screenshots.

Kyloarph: I declare the Kylo Region to be "Weird Space". Not too far away, there's the famous Glowing Giant of Kyloall in the Kyloall BF-A F2322 system, and here in Kyloarph we have what is easily the most spectacularly alien sky for an Earth-like I've yet encountered. The planet itself is fairly mundane - large, cold and thin-aired - but who wouldn't want to colonize here? Two bright, widely separated suns, a large Y-dwarf in a highly inclined orbit, a mid-sized life-bearing gas giant at enough inclination to see the rings, forming a triple co-orbital set, three more Y-dwarfs in the system to act as daystars, a glittering background of stars with an abundance of bright blue stars in the sector, and everything clearly visible from the Earth-like. This is the one place where I wished my ship had a Google Earth camera to capture a 360 degree view; I needed to take two screenshots to get everything in:

@ Sapyx: I haven't noted down the distance, but ever since the journal files were introduced, the game automatically saves the precise coordinates of systems you visit in the logs. You can use third-party programs like EDDiscovery and Captain's Log (the beta version) to easily process those and look up the coordinates, and the distance which is automatically calculated from them.

Also, @ PaleGringo: both programs offer automatic conversion of screenshots in the same way as EDFX. However, if it works, why change it? I imagine that EDFX's filters will override those anyway.

Still, if anyone includes the system coordinates in their submissions, I put those up on the list as well, and the map charts (on the "Maps" sheet) are automatically generated from those.

Oh, and also @ Sapyx: as far as I know, ED sorts the tags on planets not alphabetically, but in the order people joined the wing. So the wing leader gets the first tag, second wing member gets the second, and so on. However, I do sort them alphabetically on the list.

Still, if anyone includes the system coordinates in their submissions, I put those up on the list as well, and the map charts (on the "Maps" sheet) are automatically generated from those.
Is there any quick and easy 'lo bruto' way of getting coordinates? I haven't tried but I imagine I can search Inara or EDSM for those records... maybe? I don't have Netlogs for all my submissions, just bookmarks.

And... more.

I think I've got names of about 50 earthlike worlds with my name tag on it, lying around in my travel logs and collecting dust. I never kept score of the distance to Sol or exact star type though, as that's something I didn't care about when I logged them. Should I still list them in this topic? Star type can still be checked on the galaxy map, distance to Sol can only be checked by going to Sol and check them by hand I guess. Which I can't do for a while, as I'm in Colonia and heading to Beagle Point when I leave.

@ PaleGringo: if you upload the system infos to EDSM, you can quickly look up coordinates there too. You do need to have journal files or netlogs for those systems though. Barring that, you could use trilateration (via EDSM) to get the exact coordinates, like we did in the old days, but for that, you need the exact distances of at least four more systems.

@ TinyPwny: sure, that could still be useful information. We'll look up the star types sooner or later, and I can look up distances to Sol as long as the beta is live. After that, I'm afraid I have no idea when I'll be back there, as I'm currently around Colonia.

I've added something extra to the list: additional screenshots, of the moons of ELW-s, or in the case of Earth-like moons, shots of their parent bodies. To everyone who has found Earth-like worlds with moons and/or Earth-like moons, would you mind uploading system map screenshots of those too? No need to put them into spreadsheets or such, just the pictures will do.

As for me, I've uploaded screenshots of 28 moons so far, and none of them have any volcanism.

PaleGringo, good to see you rising up the list. You'll be in the top ten soon at this rate :)

Hi,

After finally getting back from my DW trip, here are the ELWs i happened upon. I've also listed 2 i did not "first discover", didn't manage to check whether they were already listed or not.
Notable ones : 1 ringed, 1 moon of another planet, and 2 systems with 2 ELWs, one having them in a ternary system with an HMC. Also 3 with a moon.

edit : don't have sol permit and didn't see the information easily available, so sorry for leaving that blank

Here are three that I found in between Jaques and Froadik Sector, one of which is very close to the border of this mysterious permit-locked region. I've included the data on the landable moon one of these has in with the screenshots of the star types etc. in the imgur album but I'll have to go through my others later.
