No, keep streaming in open. Maybe that way they'll do something about the griefing problem and make open enjoyable again (was it ever?).
Sure, when you stream in open you broadcasting your location voluntarily, should be ready for hostile activity.
Why on earth is it a harassment? Its using 3rd party tools to make the game easier for yourself (twitch, inara).

Easy fix for Ed: Every time he is killed, shut off the game video like he did yesterday (he did bring it back though for a short second), so that the cmdr killing him isn't displayed on the screen. Leave it like that until he's back at the station in his new ship. The people killing him are most likely doing it for 15 seconds of fame, so unless he targets the attacking cmdr or shows the "kill screen" that removes the fame part.
If then the attacking cmdr decides to put it on YouTube, it will fall under the bold part in what PeLucheuh quoted earlier:
In addition taking action such as seeking out and targeting specific players purely for the purpose of being disruptive, to cause offence, or to upset players within the community can also be considered harassment. A perfect example of this is deliberately attempting to disrupt public livestreams such as the charity ones mentioned before. This includes, but is not limited to, the capturing of footage and releasing it publically in an attempt to create upset or gain notoriety through the actions listed above.
It won't make him stay alive during every live stream, only getting better and actually having a decent ship and build will do that, but it will take away some of the motivation for doing it, for some of the players.

It's not harrassment - it's cheating.
You'll find that a lot of people who've killed Ed on stream do fly in open, and accept friend requests from anyone. If anyone wants to hunt me down, lets go! I'd enjoy the thrill of it.
It's unfair advantage. Cheating in my book. You can argue what you want with exposing themselves publicly - it's still unfair.
I agree with you that a degree of 'off-screen' flying will help Ed avoid the interdictors.
However, I thought Ed made a mistake last night by briefly flashing up the 'Your ship has been destroyed by CMDR XXX Xxxxxx.' screen showing the name of the commander that landed the killing blow.
I thought it was a either a quick alt+tab error or a bit mischievous on Ed's part.
People get triggered by all sorts of stuff in the game though. Using the Block feature, or combat logging: it's just a game, if those make you salty you need to get a life boys.
Not that i condone either, but it would appear people do get effected in real life by the game.

Way he was selectively attacked right after arrival - no escort would have helped. Avenged - yes. But not saved him.
Although to be fair escort is a must in such cases.
I suspect just more time will be spent in GROUPs for the more "important streams"?
With the Thargoid livestream reveal, Ed was wisely in a group. Because when everyone in OPEN turned up to the reveal site, it was only a matter of a minute or two until wings of Engineered combat ships turned up to "enjoy the deep and meaningful mechanics" of blowing up exploration ship after exploration ship (with no negative outcome) at the location, quite literally within seconds...
