Livestream - Beyond Focused Feedback: Engineers

Hi everyone,

Lead Designer Sandro Sammarco and I will be streaming tonight. We’ll be saying a quick thank you for the feedback from the last Focused Feedback topic and we’ll be introducing some of the ideas for the new topic: Engineers.

This livestream is to do with the Beyond Series of updates and how we’re looking for your feedback and help with the direction of some elements of the game.

Can't wait! :) Hopefully Sandro will give us some nice summary about where we go with C&P (although essentials feel already pretty much in place).

Is there anywhere to post questions in advance (so Sandro could prepare an answer)?

I have a couple of Engineer related questions.

1. GUI - Could the Engineer module list show the modifications/effects already applied?
2. SIGNPOSTING (this is more complex) When you pin a blueprint, could this not act as a trigger for station and space missions to seek/be rewarded with, the materials needed for the pinned blueprint?
3. GUI - Could materials from pinned blueprints be highlighted in the inventory, so unwanted data and materials could be ditched? (see mock up below)

Thank you for the information. When will the developer be addressing concerns about the pacing of content as outlined in this recent reddit post? While the topic of engineering does interest me, as a new player I am more interested in knowing more about the current pace of development and content delivery. I am particularly interested to know if Galnet content will be improved, but that's just me. Thank you for your time.
 
Engineered modules are closest equivalent to "items" in action role-playing games. Undermining the inevitable balance of grind and horror has been known reliable salt extraction method since ancient times.

If you're not aware Galnet is getting a makeover in the form of it being voiced. I suspect there's some other changes, but this is just my personal guesswork. Other *known* details on Beyond can be read on my blog here.
