I was wondering if the DSS glitch might be due to module damage ... but my DSS was at 100%, though the ADS was down to 69%. I've just done some AFMU repairs (ADS and standard sensors) and will see if that makes any difference.

As you need the ADS for the DSS to work could the damage to the former cause problems to the latter? That is my thoughts on the recent problems in scanning I have noticed over the weekend. MY ADS is at about 94% while the DSS is as yours is 100%. :)

Is anyone likely to make Sagittarius A in the next hour or two? Would be cool to have another CMDR in the photo.

Oh, and if someone would be kind enough to tell me how to turn on the "spine" lights on an Asp, I'd be very grateful

Z....

I'm still 4500 ly away. Won't make it today.

Just returned home from a trip to TRAIKAAE AA-A H2 gas cloud. Only 4800LY away, a small trip compared to many, but felt like an epic journey in the Adder with the amount of scanning I did. Earned about 16.5 million credit.

Visited a couple Netrons, Ammonia worlds. Made 255,229CR just from one particular system with a heap of high metal, water and terraform planets, saw a system with 66 planet bodies in it (and scanned every single one like an OCD nut) , but no black holes or not even a single Earth like this time.

Now officially a Ranger Explorer :D

Almost enough for a fully explorer kitted out Asp but not quite, might do a little bit of trading before getting an Asp and heading out again, see how I feel...

I'm relatively new to the exploring scene but finding it oddly therapeutic.

Doing a tour of the Nebula in the Barnards Loop area at the moment.

Feel free to add Seriath Storm.

Nice return there!

If your going to trade a bit I would get the asp first. Over 100 cargo space.

To all the CMDR's sending me messages of greetings and general chit chat - I'm not ignoring you! Ever since I got near the core, my transmissions fail, even though I get yours, I just keep getting the grey text of fail whenever I try to send a text out...

Hi Guys,

Not one for posting but looking for a bit of company now and again, sounds like a lonely heart advert. I've just kitted out a T6 ready to go exploring when I get the courage to make the first jump.

Anyway, CMDR Darkskies in game, hope to chat with a few of you guys and get some good tips. I'm planning to head to Sagittarius A* first and then hopefully just keep going to the other side. I don't get chance to play much so it could take a while.

This lonely explorer just returned from a nice little jaunt -- cut short by severe canopy damage due to running into way too many planets/stars. I'm retooling my Asp at my home base, Yi Trica, and getting ready for a much longer journey. I'd love to join the club!

Hi all, I'm on my way to Sagittarius a, 17k ly out from Sol now. This is to first time I play one of the elite series and I'm enjoying every minute of it.

Feel free to add me, Cmdr misterniceguy

I've made a pass through the thread, listing the new commander names not in the OP. Apologies if I've missed anyone off.

Heading towards SagA, still 10kLy to go. At a rather slow pace..I fear there might be Thargoids on my return trip. Feel free to add me, too.

Oh, nice avatar pic, Freddie Mc, such an epic book (CP).

Hi Guys currently on way to Sag A feel free to add me did a short 2k trip "south" past the California nebula but then got to close to starst while wandering off to maea brew so got repaired and now heading to the core

So what are you guys n girls doing while making your way to Sag A? I currently am listening to Hurry up were dreaming by M83 and the bones of what you believe in by Chvrches.

Harpeizanae here.
Reporting in from Hypoe Hypue LM-K B42-0.
I have three warnings for anyone who chooses to venture out toward the outer rim on their own volition:

  1. It gets really dark out here, light pollution from the local star blocks out everything but the galaxy behind you, and the remote clouds. Expect mental wear and tear.
  2. The further out you go, the more Thank You stars you encounter. Unscoopable Class T and Y stars that enter your field of view like holes in a sheet of dark fabric when you drop out of witchspace.
  3. The more you stare at witchspace out here, the more you shouldn't.
I will not suffer this place any longer, I may only be 7,948LY from home, but the rare water world does not make up for the mounting strain. I will be posting system data on candidates for terraforming, water worlds, and any oddity I have encountered once I'm safely in dock. If luck turns for the better, maybe there's an earthlike on the route back.
Put the kettle on, and get some bickies out.
