Longing to find.....

I am a relative newcomer to the game but am doing reasonably well for a novice having amassed 140 million using a Type 7 but I am now becoming frustrated in a search for a Belga Liner and/or a Guardian Fsd Booster. I play straight Dangerous in Solo or Open mode and have been using the Eddb search engine and also doing google searches.
The Eddb search engine has been excellent for trading stats but useless for finding the Beluga or FSD booster. I spent an entire day yesterday searching for both but every time, no matter which station I was advised to land at, there was no sign of either.
I don't expect the game to be easy but am at the point of giving in as there is no point if I can never find what I am after.

Can't really give you any help on the Beluga, it will depend where you are but EDDB should help with that.

Regarding the Guardian FSD Booster, you need to go an unlock that first. Here is a link to an excellent guide: Guardian Guide Follow the guide, get the goodies then unlock the module at a Guardian Technology Broker. Then and only then can you go and buy one.

Good luck and if you need any help just ask here, most of us have gone through the process at least once.

The Beluga is a Horizons ship, so if you don't have a brand new account which included Horizons, it might be you have no access.

The guardian booster will have to be unlocked first.

I always use the last updated notice to judge if I should fly to a station to find what I am after, generally 10 days or less is safe to find the things you miht be after.

Also many players(maybe console ones?) seem to be having problems with Horizons not being found/usable do to weird licensing issues so check to see if you can land on planets/launch SLFs maybe?

Also my alt bought a Beluga from Greenland City in FT Ceti system and also saw it at Good Enterprise in the BD-15 447, both less than 24 hours so should be there, good luck.

Well, first question would be - which system are you in right now?

The other suggestion would be to collect at least ~300MCr. before thinking about a Beluga. And even then, you'd need to be pretty cool about the prospect of losing one or three, due to various circumstances - not the least of them would be getting stuck in the toast rack.

Edit: for the FSD booster, there's also the tutorialfrom Exigeous:

If you did all that and just can't find it, you may have better chances at a station that hosts a Guardian tech broker.

im frustrated in searching for small seismic charges, but for your plight thankfully there is a resolution.

head on over to EDDB.io and search for the device / ship you require and it will tell you where the nearest one is.

the guardian frame shift drive boost does need unlocking though through the tech broker :) (again you can find a the location of a guardian tech broker on that site too)

You should have it already, it got included end of last year.

Maybe you need to change the option (something like "Elite : Horizons") you click on the launcher.

Sorry for the confusion I caused.

You should already have it on your launcher:-

There are several ships that are Horizons only - one of which is the Beluga...

Then a visit to the Guardian ruins for the blueprint and data scans / mats before unlocking the Booster - have lots of fun!
