Newcomer / Intro Looked everywhere for figuring this out.. help!

Hi there I need info on that aspect of the game. When you are in superdrive mode and see somebody (A npc)... and let's say he's wanted and you want to kill him to get the bounty. What in the world I must do to make him stop so I can fire him??? I tried to scan him... hail him... ram into him (way too dificult in sup.drive mode lol), emergency disengaging hyperdrive near him. What am i supposed to do to kill that guy?

Also.. when traveling I often see unidentified signals. What does it means? I stop my engine near it but there's nothing.

Thanks for you help commanders

You need an interdiction module to pull a ship out of supercruise. Available in various sizes at most industrial and high-tech worlds (from memory).

The unidentified signals are random spawns and could contain several things. In the case of many missions you need to investigate these to find the mission cargo. You enter them in the same way as appraoching a starport - get within the minimum lock distance, slow down to safe exit speed, and you will be instanced with the contents of USS.

Hi there to pull ships out of super cruise you need to buy an FSD interdictor module and activate it when you are in range of the ship. When you see a USS signal lick on to it and wait for safe disengage message then come out of super cruise

Hi Petoche and welcome to ED! To stop another wanted ship in super-cruise, you must use an interdiction device. It can be purchased at some space stations and you fit it to you ship (outfitting). You must then get within a certain range (I'm no expert on this) and activate the interdiction device to drop them out of SC. They may lose 1% hull from this and you may lose 2% from the stress of being dropped out. You might do well to invest in a Kill Warrant Scanner also to see if they are wanted in other jurisdictions; it also helps you to consider if to engage them or not based on their faction affiliation and your desires to be friendly or not with that faction.

Unidentified Signal Sources (USS) have random spawns of ships, cargo and mission important items (NPCs with advice). You must lock onto the USS with your targetting/navigation and slow to the appropriate speed at the right distance to interact with it. This is indicated by having your markers both 'in the blue zones' on your left front display.

I hope that this helps.
