Loose Screws interviewed The_Pilot !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FYI: every exclamation mark past 3rd means -10 IQ. If you wanted to state your excitement you should just say so. Putting so many exclamation marks I fear for your health because such silly amount means you have exploded from excitement long time ago.

Hey Loose Screws (which for those who don't know, which is quite possibly almost everyone, is a newish Elite Dangerous podcast) and welcome to the forum! :D

So, as you've probably figured out, a couple of guidelines:

- make sure to introduce yourself (maybe knock up a website or Discord server or perhaps create a single forum thread dedicated to your podcast like what Lave Radio have done)

- don't use loads of exclamation marks (or capitals) ... it tends to trigger people (especially if they don't know who the hell you are) :p

Ah - thanks for the explanation - I wasn't sure if we were supposed to know who LS was because they are a famous influencer or not - and now we know :)
It's good. Took a few episodes to find its feet but it's introduced as the American Elite Dangerous podcast and is two guys talking mostly about Elite (news, what they're doing, speculation, the usual kinda stuff) plus other stuff like Warcraft, etc. Weekly episodes each about an hour or so long. Great for filling in the time while I'm commuting.

Just a couple more thoughts on this ... if you want to promote your podcast then you really need to get a definite central "home" for it - a single place you can direct people to which then has all the links to Anchor, iTunes and Spotify as well as a place for discussion/feedback. And make sure to use a recognisable logo everywhere so people start to associate the logo with who you are. Lave Radio and Guard Frequency both have several hundred episodes out now so it's early days yet but best of luck with it!

And you are who?

This is exactly why the op needs a title, dont go stealing mine tho, i am the father to three large dolphins dont you know, and we all know what happens to kings landing!

CMDR Kenneth McGrew - The first of his name, King of the seismic charges, the dolphin heat bug and small ships, the rightful king of the entire galaxy from Amundsen's Star to ishums reach and protector of the realm, King of Dolphin rock, King of asteroids, Drogon of the great space seas, the unburnt, and overheating, Breaker of small ship stigmas and father of Cetacean ships galaxy wide, Lord & Emperor of the realm and longer title than Daenerys Stormborn

And you are who?

I've never listened to a podcast in all my decades, and I don't see me doing so in the next hundred or so years either.

But I guess this is cool thing.. for those who do these kinds of things.
Podcasts are awesome and free most of the time. They range from people recording them on their phones to really high production value. Odds are you can find one for just about ANY conceivable topic.

Worth finding 2-3 ones that you like, especially if you have a decent commute to work.

Totally. So, in case people don't know, the main Elite Dangerous ones are:

Lave Radio: http://laveradio.com/ (still the best Eltie Dangerous podcast imho - now on episode 263 and also organisers of Lavecon)

Hutton Orbital: http://huttonorbital.com/ (for all you Hutton Truckers out there)

Guard Frequency: https://guardfrequency.com/ (45% Star Citizen, 45% Elite Dangerous and 10% other stuff like NMS - now on episode 278)

Pete Wotherspoon's Galnet News Digest: https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/galnet-news-digest/id1206342194 (twice weekly, one on the end of Lave Radio and one on the end of Hutton Orbital but can also be subscribed to independently)
