Torches and pitchforks over basic gameplay concept like selecting and equiping an approriate ship, understanding rebuy concepts, and overall gameplay concepts like interdiction. I get that not all new players have a great understanding of the game and maybe shouldn't have easy access to a 100+ Million credit ship. The OP s complaining about basics. Are you sure you are on topic or perhaps going sideways with the discussion?

Gaming in general is taken MUCH to serious by some people..
Criticism delivered in angry, entitled rants is not criticism but an infantile fit.
Criticism delivered with a load of insults is not criticism, but regressive behavior.

Even if someone is passionate about something (and I know, I am about Elite) and is mad about a thing the devs put into their beloved game (yeah, me as well), that doesn't mean that it's okay to be aggressive and insulting towards anybody.

This forum is not too apologetic, but in most cases it just doesn't accept that kind of behavior I described above which automatically leads to people not being in tune with it.
This is about a toy. Devs created the toy. We play with it.

You've fallen into the same trap most new CMDRs do; flying without rebuy. Lesson learned. Always have enough insurance to cover your loss several times over before taking a ship out into space.

For all of 30seconds watching it I managed to suspend my knowledge that:

• Anchors don't work like that. You simply cannot set one in the seabed at flank speed that way.
• Even if they did, it would have parted the chain like a thread.
• If the chain did somehow hold, the flukes on the hook wouldn't.
• And if all of that somehow did work out, Congratulations, Skipper!You've just torn the winches and the Samson post clean out of your ship and you are now the captain of a swiftly-sinking wreck.

But the visuals, they were pretty good even if they were impossible.

And @Bigmaec I have enjoyed the way that this thread has gone so off topic!!

Granted the visuals were excellent, but I think my little toe could have done a better job than most of the actors, and my toes already have two Emmys between them.

The leading lady was good for eye candy, but I'm aware that might draw fire for being chauvinistic - she was just a diamond amongst the coal so to speak.

In any case, I've enjoyed the tangent lol!
