Luxury run at TENCHE

Lets have a little fun now. We were talking about this in our group few days ago, and my friend actually tried it.

He bought and fitted a Type 6 to carry 114 tons (is the max 114? i dont remember). He has loaded it with Performance Enhancers, went to the Seeking Luxuries. Sold the Enhancers (around 160k profit), but instead of coming back to dock, he crashed his ship on one of the traders. Then he used his insurance (60k), loaded his new shiny Type 6 with the Enhancers, and he did it again :D. So every time he did that, he had 100k pure profit.

He measured the time, profit per hour was BETTER with crashing and rebuying his ship than when he was doing it the normal, proper way... No supercruise, no docking...

We were all literally ROTFLing on the TS, i almost cried when he was doing that.

Oh, how i love this game :D.

Have you SEEN the size of Beta Sculptoris lately :p

No, actually. I find hauling performance enhancers too boring at any price.

I'm out shooting stuff and looking for this Silver Comet thing...maybe I'll check out Beta Sculptoris when it collapses into a destitute war zone after these Luxury Traders pack it up and end the gold rush.

My sisters co-workers flatmate's dog-walker makes 5,000,000 p/h working for the Beta Sculptoris Fortune Corporation.
I couldn't believe it!!!
Just shipping viaqra to orbital massage parlours can pay more than a regular day job.
Head over to Fan Horizons you won't regret it.

Now that's really creative use of insurance! :D

I did a little calculation. It takes me 50 seconds to buy stock and get to the traders. You can do 72 runs in an hour, at 100k, you earn as much as a Clipper or Type 7 in a Type 6!

Game definitely needs insurance that scales with how often you use it. Every ship loss in a 72 hour period should knock a percent off your insurance rating.

This is sooo cool. I am now making 10 million per hour.been at it for a while now, and so far I have made 62m today. When I go back to normal trading, it will seem so puny.

Man you must have zero life. This grind is just horrible - I don't care how fruitful it is.

Dunno 'bout the rest but my avaliable amount has gone down from 84k or so to 79k on the last few runs of doing this. Did FD do a background database fix on the sly in the last few hours?

If the price stays the same, its all good. It will pop back up to 83k+ soon enough.

But yeah, like people said, only true autists grind this. This is practically something a monkey could do. So mindless, boring, and dull.

As opposed to a short hop regular trade run ?

Please elaborate..

just open your eyes guys their are routes out their doing 3, 5 k a ton in about the same time you would make 3 k in luxury routes

You can - dock, undock, super cruise, dock, undock, super cruise, dock - in the same amount of time that you can - dock, undock, super cruise, dock? Video proof or it didn't happen.

There seems to be a completely random bug that lets you sell the same load of cargo to two traders.

If you drop out of SC and the RNG feels like spawning two T9s next to you, you will get 2 sets of messages saying you were paid X credits for Y tons.

Not 100% certain, but I think I got double payment for that load of cargo. Going to submit a ticket tonight, I don't think this is exploitable since your starting location and the T9s' are random and out of the player's control.

Yes smuggling boner pills is insane. Making about 12 million cr an hour in the Anaconda at this system. But none of it counts towards Trading rank, so I'm back to the normal route.

Atleast you need to find the route first (unless you're using 3rd party tools), and chances are its not just a straight line from A->B.

Have had this happen to me couple of times too, and I never checked if I got double credits. I doubt it though.

don't have to prove anything just run those cheap runs, slaves and palladium it is for me....

Alright, so this is for the benefit of folks who didn't read the earlier parts of the thread. If the traders are disappearing / moving away from you, give it 15-30 minutes break to get to where they want to go and they'll stay put. Just use the next-closest trader site / do something else / chill for a bit in the meantime.
