Luxury run at TENCHE

Exactly. That thing was so painful to fly. I don't know how anyone could stand that for hours on end. It makes the T7 seem like an F-18 in comparison.
Also, I worked it out in ed shipyards... the difference in capacity between a fuelscoop+shieldgen Anaconda vs. fuelscoop+shieldgen Type9 is 48T of cargo.
That is, the Anaconda has exactly 48T less of cargo. For 48T less, I'll fly the F-18 instead of the sinking barge. :D

Michael B has mentioned that these lucrative events may be re-balanced as of the 1.1 update, better get out there and work that milk run commanders ;)

Right on. After 1.1, boom events are going to be less likely to happen, although Michael didn't mention the changes, if any, to the probability of a luxury point appearing as close to the station as Beta Sculptoris. Also, not sure whether the infinite supply situation will remain, which is the second part of the equation - my feeling is that it will not.

Anywhoo, don't count on something like this happening again, at least not in the short term. :p

Dunno if anyone has picked this up in this thread, but the Alt-F4 disconnect thing is being log and looked at with a view to punishing people who do it. So if you're using it to quickly exist the station it's probably a good time to stop doing it.

Thanks for the warning, but it has no similarity with the Alt-F4 issue. Alt-F4 is complicated because instead of just process termination, you can cut a specific connection to a peer that's causing you trouble as well, server detects no problems. You are using external means to control what happens in the game. If the peer is using static IP, have your firewall block it and everyone is happy. Like I said earlier, this thread is not about these things so I won't say more about it.

I switched to a fully upgraded A class asp once i made enough money in my Type 7 (it still took a while).

Yes i upgraded my asp to A class entirely at this station apart from scanners! Its a good one.

Interesting, I was contemplating whether the Type 7 should be my next goal after maxing out my ASP or just keep the Asp and see what the newer ships would be like. My current goal is to get top class modules for the Asp (getting close) and kit her out for long range exploring.

Be cautious, the Type7 is a large ship, and cannot dock at outposts. Rotating stations only, which has a considerable impact to many lucrative trade routes. (especially binary planet in-system routes)

I stored my upgraded Asp there and got the T7 then when I had made enough sold them both and bought a Python, which has more cargo capacity than the T7 :)
