Luxury run at TENCHE

Just chill for now. ^^ I fully expected it to be over after Beta Sculptoris. Tenche was a bonus. If you can independently confirm that the infinite supply situation still exists, please post the exact method which led you to that conclusion. Then we can all go off looking for a new spot (but I don't expect to find a diamond round every corner ;)) . Or we can try to trigger economic boom in Tenche or Beta Sculptoris again, but again, those hardly guarantee a route as lucrative as the ones we had.

I'm leaning towards 'hammer Tenche (or beta) into another boom'..see what happens. We have enough people, I'm wondering just how fast it could be done. If it works.. amazing things, man. :)

Besides, I think some systems might have a 'near infinite' supply of some things, and not others, depending on various conditions (for example, one station may never ever run out of.. tea, just because somehow they make a metric load of tea every 5 minutes, but they might run out of palladium and never get resupplied for days, despite them listing it as 'high').. seeing as how these two systems NEVER ran dry on PE's with hundreds (if not thousands) of pilots running them out the door nonstop.. I think we already see the golden goose, now we just have to see if systems can go boom twice in short order.

Guess we will find out one way or another.

My Regular Imperial Slaves/Palladium run is drying up as well.

I just dropped the Slaves off and went to the Palladium only to find that it has 1500 units and the supply is low.

Normally i could run this for hours a day with no problem. I'm beginning to wonder if they put in a hot fix for all the commodities now because this was a very sustainable route before.

I think there was someone advertising a static price trade route 2 or 3 days ago. Search the discussion board for it, and please post the link to the thread if you find it. If you guys run that public route, you can also try to confirm the supply situation.

Edit: It's this one. https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=105802

Not sure how I feel about this haha... Relief but dismay.

Only got got my type 9 last night, earnt a measly 25m from it then parked up for the night. Back from work now and no blueys to run, all floppy.

Cup of tea then guess I fly the whale home - will be looking hard for Trenche mkII though and will report back.

It was obvious it will end at some point, we all knew it.

Shame we have to move away since we were almost like family...:)

For me, the outcome has been really good. Time to find some new ways to make profit I guess...

Hope to see you guys out there, and remember to always watch your back.

Farewell commanders.

So i've been traveling around looking for a new HT Coriolis + Luxuries spot, and every one I have found, guess what is missing at the Coriolis..

Hmm...the problem as i see it is if this is a commodity wide hotfix....meaning that even the regular trade routes we all knew of or had to ourselves will shortly be gone as well.

I was going to switch to a Python last night, fully expecting to be still adding a few mil, but I'm glad I didn't or I would have been flying insurance free, today!
It was fun while it lasted.
Gonna get the ol' Asp out again and fly around and look for new stuff.

Fly safe commanders.

Look who's acting all high and mighty now after having exploited the same "broken" system to his heart's content. Pretty much every post you have made in this thread was a direct violation of forum rule nr 1. I suggest that you read up on "Wheaton's Law" before posting again. Because that one you have clearly broken several times now.

TL-DR: If you've got nothing constructive to say, I suggest you stop flamebaiting and go enjoy your spoils of exploitation in your own game, hypocrite.

Lol, he got almost half a billion credits from Tenche and Beta Sculptoris, grinding 24 hours a day without saying a word about it and now that he finally seats at the top feeling secure he's happy that other players cant get a chance at upgrading their ships, just another griefer from Eve.

Alright, I went to Kuwair to see if the situation was different.

No, it's not different, it's... insanely low (104), all of the sudden.

So, I'm going to go with my guts feeling here : they are toying with us. M. Brookes casually asking "what system?" while this thread has been on the top of the front page for 1 week was just... I actually have no word (which is rare in itself).

I mean, it's fine, they obviously are entitled to fix whatever they want, but acting like "what? what happened? what Tenche? what brutal boom removal? what sudden supply drop?" is not very sport.

So, back to finding our very own longer legit route I guess? And keep it for ourselves as best as we can? And come to forums to say "lookie, such a nice star!" "Oh yeah, dam, very nice star indeed", while keeping the dirty credits talk away.

Yes, this is a rant. But more about how things are handled, than it is about things themselves.

And btw, Kuwair does orbit a nice red/orange planet ^^ (and the galactic map route planning is so BAD for long travels).

End of interference.

Trade is dead and FD killed it (Tenche)

After the Tenche luxury run was too much of a succes changes have been made to the trading engine so supply on any commodity (not just luxuries) is running out much more quickly now. So if you are suddenly looking at no supply for your favorite run, you know what is happening.

Apparently killing the one thing people actually preferred doing took precedent over fixing the myriad of things that don't work.

And why do I still have to sell every single discovery one at a time?

I want to thank Changtau2005 for his findings and help, the loss of Tenche is clearly a server *hotfix* by the developers preparing for 1.1 update.

@Yank31

They might have stealth-patched it, but we shouldn't point fingers without evidence. I find it a bit funny that Tenche and Ross had the boom end at the same time, but it's also very likely that the boom started at the same time. I've been away from my regular routes for so long that my trade data is stale, and I need a while to see if the hotfix had any sort of economic perturbation.

This is meant to happen, commodeties and stations are supposed to increas and decreas in supply based on whats being shipped to and from those said stations.
I was trading 138k every 5 mins moving berillium from one station to another, the supply never changed no matter how many runs I did - this represented a broken background sim if you ask me.

If FD have made changes that make stock leves increase and decrease + price changing accordingly then that feels like the universe may actually be becoming to come alive!

Plus, trading luxuries cant last forever, do you think those ships have unlimited cargo space and unlimited fuel... it had to stop one day!

Well done FD if youve actually done this on purpose.
