Luxury run at TENCHE

I don't know whether it was broken or not for sure... but what you are saying here isn't necessarily right. I don't think one person trading back and forth should be able to have a big enough impact on the economies to start chainging the supply and demand. Now if word gets out about a particularly lucrative trade route and a bunch of pilots all start trading like crazy, that's when the supply and demand should shift. One person shouldn't really be able to have much impact (assuming these are relatively wealthy thriving stations and not poor stations where small fluctuations can affect an economy). So I don't think it was necessarily broken just because you didn't see any change in your runs.

Naa, i dont agree, when a station only has 304 tons of a commodity and i doo 15 runs of that commodity and after 15 runs they still have exactly 304 tons in supply; id say thats broken, after three runs they should have ran out and i should have had to move on or wait a few hours while it restocked from NPC ships delivering new supply (which they dont do by the way)

So if your now saying it is running out, I say well done and its finally looking like theyre fixing stuff!

So they fixed this :D Good!
Like when they fixed Rares that went all wild.
These things were not working as intended. We are al aware of the shortcomings of regular trading, but this was not the fix, for it.
My opinion though.

Cheers Cmdr's

Yeah, I'd like to see supply drop by the amount I load onto my ship (and slowly rebuild). Have price behave relative to that. Ditto for demand (goes down with every ton sold).

I can't believe FD is forcing me to actually trade instead of run back and forth between A and B.
You are not trading my friend, just running some supplies between stations pretending to be in a free market, but actually have rigorously controlled prices on set bandwith limits. The last change just made it difficult to make any lasting profit from trading.

 There is a 104 page thread advertizing how much money everyone can make with the

And he wonders why the gravy train petered out, lol. Next time find your OWN route. Or if you found one KEEP it secret.

Oh well.. I managed to upgrade from an Asp to a Python and still have 20 million in the bank. I can't complain too much, we knew this was going to end sooner or later. :D

Wouldn't have minded it lasting a little longer though, I could have had an Anaconda by the end of the day tomorrow! :p

Now to find a profitable route and get back to business.

@ changtau2005.

Yep, i'll confirm it. My Palladium run is all but gone. It went from a healthy 40K+ down to 10 units. That's right.....10. (2088 ships passed through in the past 24 hours).

It looks like they just crushed trading in a huge way. I'm just glad that i ground like a mongrel since i started playing. At least i have a healthy bank balance.

Time to go exploring and get a few systems stating "Discovered by PapaSmurf"

OP apparently thinks the most profitable trade route in the game should also sustain through hundreds of players doing it for weeks.

OP is wrong

Find a new route. I bet this time it won't get shared on the forum or on reddit, now that the supply can run out.

If anything, as said, it's a shame they did not fix this a month ago, when it was first discovered how good seeking luxuries outside high tech stations really are. Because this was not balanced income by any means, it was completely out of control.

Sure, trading needs some adjustments such as better ingame information, but first you must close these loopholes.

Looking at all the posts about supplies vanishing, and high ship counts, I have to wonder if they reintroduced the previous bug of NPCs hogging up all of the commodities leaving nothing for the players.

Yeeaahh lets all sit in our little part of the galaxy, never share anything, never interact. That sounds like fun (not). Your kind of thinking will kick the fun out any game.

Well I went to HILL PA Hsi ----Curie gateway. They had med supply with sl right outside the station. 900 cr profit, to start but the station is not re supplying ----has gone from 2500 to 354 with only 3 runs. This is a bust here as I only have a type 7 and only hauled 600t. They are selling PE for 7k now

From looking at the last few posts it seems that trading overall has been rebalanced ---I haven't been trading in the last month as I got tired of running from interdiction and decided to upgrade my combat skills. So I don't have any favorite routes to go back to. I would have liked to make another 10 on the sl though as bounty hunting didn't exactly make me many credits. At least now I have a type 7 and enough cred to buy an asp. Was thinking about the asp to run a rare route, but I would like to know if rares were nerfed

Don't think the commodity market was ever meant to be static, we have had it easy and that was doing more harm than fluctuating goods ever will

If what I have been reading is true it seems they have fixed the infinite trade issue. While I will admit have taken advantage of some of these trade routes I am glad to see thing becoming more "realistic". I think it fits more into the Elite Dangerous theme of this game is not easy street.

While I think one commander on a decent trade route with low traffic won't have to worry as much I think we all are going to be pushed out of our comfort zones.

I think it is all for the best

So my prediction is I will start to see more commanders in Haulers looking for new trade routes. Speaking of that where did I leave mine at...........

They seem to have fixed the issue with the dynamic market, now things will shift and you'll actually have to put forth some effort into finding routes. This is good for the game.

Not just trading. RES sites are finite now as well. No more unlimited Anaconda spawns.
