Everyone take a deep deep breath for a second and think about the situation.
Firstly, yes I agree those Arx that are PURCHASED should somehow be transferrable - problem is working out which Arx were purchased and which one's were earned.
Now for the free Arx earned by playing the game. From what I have read here, when you reset your account you lose everything. All your credits, ships, ranking all get zeroed out. The only thing you get to retain are the cosmetics. So in that regard it makes sense that the Arxs earned by playing the game are wiped to, just the same as credits/ships/rank.
Strange, if Arx has no meaning in the game, how can you earn them in the game? I really think you should take over the running of FD, you are way to smart just to be a player, you have all the answersHehe.
If Arx earned is attached to the player
There's nothing difficult about it, Arx belong to the account not the CMDR, they are an out of game resource and have no meaning in game.
The emphasis being on the you. You are not really the CMDR (unless you're roleplaying).Strange, if Arx has no meaning in the game, how can you earn them in the game?
Not sure about that, it seems obvious, they were just a replacement for Frontier Points right?I really think you should take over the running of FD, you are way to smart just to be a player, you have all the answers![]()
ARX are virtual currency bought with real money. The fact that you can earn some by playing the game is a way to encourage you to play and also buy more. It has nothing to do with your character, or whatever - it's (it should be) tied to your account. No question about it.Strange, if Arx has no meaning in the game, how can you earn them in the game? People probably don't delete their only character often. If we had multi character it would be more likely to be seen faster. But that is still a thing that could go without detection for a bit.Could be, but there's very little information on this as is. ARX has been around for a few months, but somehow nobody has encountered this issue before?
I'm completely OK with One Account = One Commander
Christmas freebie ARX might be different, as the save game they were granted to no longer exists and you've never been able to transfer things between accounts IIRC.
You're assuming ARX are assigned to a save, not an account, which would be really weird, if true.My paintjobs are all account tied, resets don't matter. So this will just be an error on somebodies part.

It would mean that ARX are part of the reward existing in the game world for what your character does, just like credits. And we know that's not true. At least it's not supposed to be like that.
It shouldn't matter what save you use, ARX should remain untouched, because even if you erased the progress of your character, you played the game - which is what free ARX were given for. Not to mention this would mean there are two kinds of ARX - those you buy, which are assigned to account, and those you get for playing the game, which are assigned to a save.
I believe it's a bug, or oversight on FDev part and should be fixed.
