Make your Own Around the World Pack

Just a fun little exercise here while we wait for the next DLC. Make your own animal pack of animals from all around the world. There are rules though

You must include one habitat animal from each of North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania. Animals can cross over into different continents (such as Eurasian animals being in both Europe and Asia). Habitat animals can come from the same animal family, so if you wanted to include 3 or 4 monkeys it in, that's fine.

You also must include only one habitat bird that can be from any of those regions. Your exhibit animal can be a standard exhibit, or walk through exhibit, but not birds as yet, since they haven't been shown to expand with that (though they likely will soon). Exhibit animals can also be from any region.

Don't think of this as a "wrap up" or finale pack. Think of it as showing what animals you personally want most from each continent, or at least based on conjunction with the other animals in the pack. Here goes with mine:

North America -Wolverine
South America - Brown Throated Three Toed Sloth
Africa - Red River Hog
Europe - Wild Boar
Asia - Indian Porcupine (this is a good example of in conjunction with - I would rather an African Old World Porcupine, but my Africa spot is taken)
Oceania - Tasmanian Devil
Habitat Bird - Shoebill Stork
Exhibit animal - Indian Cobra

North America-Wolverine! as well :)
South America-Linne's Two-toed Sloth! Just because I have seen that species in person as opposed to your choice.
Africa-Bat-eared Fox!! The game doesn't need him but I would be so excited to have one of my personal faves
Europe-Wild Boar! Same as yours
Asia-Golden Jackal! The game doesn't have a jackal yet, although it may not need one...
Oceania-Any Tree Kangaroo! Much needed to me
Habitat Bird-Demoiselle Crane! A beautiful species
Exhibit Animal-Indian Cobra! I don't like sneks too much but its pretty iconic haha
Your picks are pretty solid!

As much as I love all your choices I don’t think it's possible for us to get tje all three most anticipated animals in one pack (tassie, porcupine and stoth).

I think I'd use only one of them and fill the rest with less popular species.

Rainforests
Sloth
Red river hog
Coati
Lar gibbon
Tree kangaroo
Fossa
Manatee

North America - Wolverine
South America - Black howler
Africa - Crested porcupine
Europe - Wild Boar
Asia - Markhor
Oceania - Tasmanian Devil
Habitat Bird - Great white pelican
Exhibit animal - King Cobra

North America - Geoffroy's Spider Monkey
South America - Patagonian Mara
Africa - Fossa
Europe - European Rabbit
Asia - Blackbuck
Oceania - Tasmanian Devil
Habitat bird - Magpie Goose
Exhibit animal - Tuatara

Why the only one habitat bird rule?
Given the amount of habitat birds we've gotten in the DLC, having only one fits Frontier's trends for birds. Don't get me wrong, I want more birds and would love an all bird pack even for just habitat animals, but I'm just putting that rule there for this little exercise.

NA: Sea Otter
SA: Spider Monkey
EU: Wolverine
AF: Crested Porcupine
AS: Markhor
AU: Tasmanian Devil
HB: Dalmatian Pelican
E: Frill Necked Lizard

How is that different from stuff like monkeys or reptiles then?

It just is. My list and little exercise to pass the time away, so my rules. You don't have to play or dissect the list if you'd rather not, and definitely can make your own list with your own rules. I mean that in a nice way, not trying to be snarky.

It is all good. I was just wondering. Birds always seem to draw the short straw.

They do, and I wish that would change. here my thought was just to go with what Frontier has mostly gone with. Personally here on out, if applicable to the theme I'd like to see one habitat bird with every scenery pack and two with animal packs.

North America - White-nosed coati
South America - Patagonian mara
Africa - Mantled guereza
Asia - Reeve's muntjac
Europe - Crested porcupine
Oceania - Tasmanian devil
Habitat bird - Helmeted guineafowl
Exhibit - Panther chameleon

Habitat bird alternates -- white stork for Europe, golden pheasant for Asia, black swan for Oceania

North America - Roosevelt Elk
South America - Andean Mountain Cat
Africa - Ethiopian Wolf
Europe - Musk Ox
Asia - Blue-spotted Tree Monitor
Oceania - Tasmanian Devil
Habitat Bird - Ocellated Turkey
Exhibit animal - Alligator Snapping Turtle

Following the rules...

1. Europe: Musk ox
2. NA: Ocelot
3. SA: Howler Monkey
4. Asia: Blackbuck
5. Africa: Mantled guereza
6. Oceania: Tasmanian devil
7. Habitat bird: Scarlet ibis
8. Ex: Sloth 😈

Breaking the rules...

1. Europe: mute swan
2. NA: greater roadrunner
3. SA: Greater rhea
4. Asia: mandarin duck
5. Africa: Grey crowned crane
6. Oceana: Victoria's crowned pigeon
7. Another habitat bird: Scarlet ibis
8. Ex: macaws

Only a few hours in and it's very interesting the variety of the one habitat bird picked. I'm not doing any kind of ranking or scoring or vote count or anything, just interesting to see.

k i feel like the best way to this is with animals across most if not all of the continent

Oceania - short beaked echidna
North America - American black bear
South America - South American coati
Europe - Wild boar
Asia - Rhino Beetle (e)
Africa - Serval
Oceans - Walrus
Everywhere - cattle egret (my Bird)

what do you think of my ideas

North America: Collared peccary
South America: Spider monkey (I would go for the white-cheecked)
Africa: Mantled colobus
Europe: European rabbit
Asia: Painted terrapin (but really struggled with the Takin and the Indian porcupine)
Oceania: Tree kangaroo
Bird: Great white pelican
Exhibit: Two-toed sloth (if it's not permitted, I would put the panther chamaleon on this spot)

Bird: Roseate Spoonbill

I tried to balance it for 2 animals with new rigs (Tas. Devil and Porcupine) and others easier to make animals that could use adjusted/same rig as Frontier likes to do.
