Making money in 2.4

I've been informed about the RHEA money making method.
This gets me around 200 million credits per hour at the moment, give or take.

Even when I first started doing it, when I was not even allied, it was around 15-30 million per trip.

Is this the biggest money maker so far in ED or could you make even more with older methods?

I remember the smuggling missions and Quince, but they didn't seem as easy and profitable as this.

I made 300,000,000 credits last night doing RHEA runs while watching TV, at this rate, I'll have 1.8 billion credits by Friday!

Insane or what!

Not really, I'm just asking if this is the biggest money maker yet!

Seems very easy to make a lot of money.

I don't need attention, I'm more than happy to spread the method to those that want it.

Not that its a secret, it's all over Youtube.

To each their own. Typically I play to enjoy the game but if making money quickly is your thing then....

...Have you ever thought what you are going to do when you've made more credits that you are ever going to need?

Yeah, I think I'll buy every ship in the game most likely and then max them out.

Once credits are no longer an issue, and I don't have to worry about rebuys, I guess I can enjoy the new core mechanics 3.0 will bring.

Plus, I'll be able to "toy" with thargoids as much as I like and not worry about if I die or not. :)

I agree 90% but it's hard to enjoy when you have to grind for credits all the time, even after diah Rheaifiying your account you can still enjoy the game, still need to unlock them engineer's get the materials, rank, bgs influencing, power play, alien massacres, exploration, and just playing with friends

I was there earlier and saw an anaconda named A.A flight 77, people went too happy, there's slot of odd things to see at popular systsms

For now I'm having a blast carrying people around in my Beluga. I also make a ton of money !
Last night I had a (n almost) full Beluga with 100 passengers, cargo and data missions and I earned like 80 millions in one trip.
Of course it takes some time to gather the missions and you can't be allergic to supercruise because the very profitable passenger missions usually imply long distances to stations ( between 80k and 350k ls so far).

:)

Funny how FD didn't fix passenger ships as of now.
Hauling around ~200 passengers in the cutter or conda really puts those dedicated passenger ships to shame.

Non the less I'm currently enjoying hauling around passengers to random destinations, with an average payout of 1mil/economy passenger this really pays off.
No more 6kly trips for sight seeing tourists that will get you 75mil in an afternoon, economy passengers absolutely top that.

Just put on my trucker hat, 5.1 system turned to 11 with good ole Johnny Cash playing the folsom prison blues as I transport prisoners to some random penal colony out of everyones way.

Those 11 tourists most likely won't mind sharing the rest of all those seats with fellow inmates. Hee hee.

Yes, my current goal is to reach Duke so I can buy a Cutter (that ship looks so good !) but I'm only knight for now :(
But I already know I'll be torn between using the Beluga, which is a proper passenger ship, and the Cutter to be able to carry more passengers.
It really seems it's out of balance now. There should be more slots, even restricted to passenger cabins.
I'd like to HAVE to use a passenger ship to effectively do it instead of just getting the biggest one to stuff more passengers...

The beluga should have 2 class 8 slots, the orca 1. New class 8 passenger modules could be added that are exclusive to beluga/orca.
On top of being able to fit the biggest passenger modules in existence, both beluga and orca have all other module slots available to fit a decent shield and fuel scoop.
Now that would make them good in their roles.

Exactly !
When you know you can put 850 people in an Airbus A380... And the Beluga is 3 times longer !
Of course there are the other modules etc but still... There should be plenty of room to put more cabins...

i don't get it OP. first you use the missions, and now you scream "NERF IT".

you know FD won't fix it to friday, so you think you are safe. but you're not.

posted in other threads by fd: "don't overuse the mission payouts or we will take your money away".
maybe 1.8 bil will fit in there somewhere.

the system you mentioned is definitely already on the nerf-radar...

Any new exploits around? I saw the Rhea exploit, decided to try it just now, it does not work anymore, couldn't even make 1 mil off a run in a Dolphin loaded with passengers. Threads said 20+ mil was possible with the dolphin. Ive been grinding forever as a Bounty Hunter now I just want an easy way to enjoy the big ships!

So one reason you might not be making what they say for your ship is you might not be the same 'Friend Level' or whatever it is called because the higher your ranking with a station is the higher paying missions you will have access to and that also goes for your Pilots Federation rank as well like if the mission is for Merchant and you're Broker then you'll also be paid less for that as well.

As Brain says to Pinky every day.... "the same thing we do every night, take over the world..." But seriously, the question of HOW each of us plays the game is really our business. I agree with your question/premise...basically to those who play and brag about making 500 gazillion credits in 10 minutes while standing on their heads, making Nutella crackers swilling their tenth bull sperm-laced monster tsunami energy beverage, hauling cheetos .5LY, after stacking 2k missions in 75 board hops, well, you know, good for you, your special. There are those of us that play within what is arguably the 'spirit' of the game, obeying the proverbial road signs, taking the lumps the game throws us, realizing the game is never going to be perfectly balanced to our style (I'm one of these folks, but, there are days when it's frustrating), but, it's our way to play. Yeah, it's annoying to slog through the posts of those seeking 'attaboys' that contain no helpful advice but then what game that has forums, doesn't have that? The annoyance, for me anyway, is having to go through 912 pages of these comments to find the answer to my question. Why not have a forum post page, IDK, 'The Bestest Player Ever' so the other pages can be dedicated to providing 'actual' advice. Okay. off the soapbox. :x

You don't really need any exploits, doing regular passenger missions could net you 40-50mil an hour to random systems, as long as the departure systems is at least allied towards you.
