Making Your Finale Pack

Seems like the Spring 2024 has dived deep into the "this next pack is the last" realm, so out of sheer curiosity, how would you design a finale pack? As PC got a supersized final pack it seems possible we may as well, so it can be anywhere from 8-13 animals. To be clear - in making this pack, there would not be any other animals added into the game officially. What's your roster?

Hoping they decide to go out with a bang and we get 12 Habitat and 1 exhibit. Here is my list:

-Black howler monkey
-Hamadryas baboon
-Spectacled bear
-Ocelot
-South American coati
-Sea otter
-Honey badger
-Goodfellow's tree kangaroo
-Blackbuck
-Greater kudu
-Walrus
-Secretary bird

-Mixed hummingbird walkthrough exhibit

Seems like a balanced spread with a lot of highly recommended animals in it.

Assuming that we're not getting an aviary pack:
  • Secretary Bird
  • Gelada
  • North American Elk
  • White-Nosed Coati
  • Columbian Red Howler
  • Geoffroy's Spider Monkey
  • Gerenuk
  • Walrus
  • Grey Crowned Crane
  • Golden Pheasant
  • Helmeted Guineafowl
  • King Cobra (E)
  • Northern Caiman Lizard (E)

I know, I know... it's a little short on monkes. 🙈🤷🏻‍♀️
  1. Golden pheasant
  2. Nigerian dwarf goat
  3. Burrowing owl
  4. Southern tamandua
  5. South American coati
  6. Coquerel Sifaka
  7. Mandarin duck
  8. Wapiti/elk
  9. Roseate spoonbill
  10. Yellow throated marten
  11. Rocky mtn goat
  12. Secretary bird
  13. Kirk's dik dik

Just realized I forgot to post my own list, ha. I got distracted, and ending up forgetting to go back.

So I'm going with 12 animals, two of which will be exhibit animals. Focus on South America and habitat birds, but not exclusively that.

White Nosed Coatimundi (potential flagship, highly requested)
Black Howler Monkey (highly requested New World Primate)
Spectacled Bear (my personal want addition, though it's not unpopular either)
Squirrel Monkey species (another NWP, and probably easier to do than a Spider Monkey)
Hamadrayas Baboon - (don't care about it, it's for the community)
Muskox (not against it but not a huge want, but another big community want)
Secretary Bird (potential flagship, highly requested habitat bird)
Shoebill (fairly popular habitat bird)
Pelican - non specific species - (fairly popular habitat bird)
Scarlet Ibis (colorful South American bird)
Golden Lion Tamarin - exhibit - (better an exhibit than none at all, highly requested)
King/Indian Cobra - exhibit (I don't think I need to explain this one. Iconic reptile)

For something special, maybe a huge animal pack with a theme like 'safari' which is so broad it could include a lot of animals.

Or Petting Zoo themed, which would be something really different and includes domestic animals such as cattle, sheep, goats, donkeys, pigs, ponies, chickens, add new scenery, and also add new guest- animal interactions (like feeding, animals coming towards people instead of running away from them. Maybe these tame animals could even be allowed to free range, meaning they do not need a habitat and guests never run away from them. Poop is cleaned by caretakers and treated the same as trash.

Or ... Yes really... Something museum and extinct themed, bringing in scenery like skeletons and an archeology dig site for guests to explore, a new function called the genetics lab, and you can add a host of extinct animals to your zoo like tasmanian tigers, dodos, aurochs, great auks, mammoths, sabretooths, moas... Really awesome stuff. No dinosaurs, they should all be animals that people once lived with.

The last dlc is bound to be something big and cool. Ending the game with something special.

An ideal final pack would be one that includes animals from around the world but i think is more realistic to expect a pack focus on the Américas. Let's be positive and go with 12 animals (10 habitat - 2 exhibit):

1. Greater rhea
2. Southamerican / white nosed coati
3. Patagonian mara
4. Geoffroy's spider monkey
5. Ocelot
6. American black bear
7. Brown pelican / Great white pelican
8. Musk ox
9. Roseate spoonbill / Scarlet ibis / american flamingo (ugh)
10. Golden lion tamarin
11. Green anaconda (Ex)
12. Alligator snapping turtle (Ex)

That covers a bunch of requested animals from the Américas, plus two monkeys (rip my precios howler) and 3 birds.

Honestly looking at that list and thinking about what is being left out from África and India we really could use a couple more DLCs.

Here is my list:
  1. Red-shanked Douc (CR)
  2. Matschie’s Tree-kangaroo (EN)
  3. Ethiopian Wolf (EN)
  4. Black-footed Ferret (EN)
  5. Grévy’s Zebra (EN)
  6. Spectacled Bear (VU)
  7. Alligator Snapping Turtle (VU)
  8. Ocellated Turkey (NT)
  9. Markhor (NT)
  10. Helmeted Guineafowl (LC)
  11. Southern Elephant Seal (LC)
  12. Thorny Devil (LC) [Exhibit]
  13. Chinese Crocodile Lizard (EN) [Exhibit]

Planet Zoo : Zoo Tycoon Expansion Pack

1. Secretary bird
2. Gerenuk
3. Gelada
4. African squrred tortoise
5. Ethopian wolf
6. Honey badger
7. Nile crocodile
8. Spectacled bear / American black bear
9.Walrus
10.Musk ox
11. Sea otter
12. Blackbuck
13.Markhor

Assuming we don't get Aviary or Marine Expansion Pack , A Zoo Tycoon Expansion Pack would probably be the next best pick for an Expansion , But the Only thing i don't like is the lack of South America

Ok here is my dream last pack, especially considering the show last year: Americas Pack! Featuring wildlife from North America into South!

  1. American black bear
  2. Wild turkey
  3. Mallard duck/ wood duck
  4. Burrowing owl
  5. White nosed coati
  6. American flamingo
  7. Amazon giant river turtle
  8. Scarlet Ibis
  9. Brown Pelican
  10. Black Howler
  11. Spider monkey/ squirrel monkey
  12. Golden lion tamarin
  13. Rhea
  14. Patagonian mara
  15. Black and white tegu
  16. Walk through exhibit: Scarlet, Hyacinth, and Blue and Gold macaw
(Other walkthrough birds to consider: toco/ keel billed toucan, Inca tern, and hummingbirds)(highly doubt we could get them all though)

It has double the amount of animals as a normal pack would, and I wanted a diverse list of animals from all over. It would give us our first habitat turtle, 3 monkeys, a rodent, a different type of habitat lizard, our first WTE birds, and would nearly double our ingame bird count. Considering South America and North America has 0 birds (I don’t count the king penguin) I think it would be fair.

This would be my ideal dream scenario.

For the scenario of one more DLC and one bigger last pack:

Latin America Scenery Pack
  • Black Howler Monkey
  • Ocelot
  • South American Coati
  • Patagonian Mara

Planet Zoo Worldwide Pack: representing all previous DLC's:
  • Musk Ox
  • Spectacled Bear
  • Short Beaked Echidna
  • Walrus
  • Blackbuck
  • African Leopard
  • North American Black Bear
  • Alpine Marmot
  • Great White Pelican
  • Sumatran Rhinoceros
  • Honey Badger
  • Secretary Bird
  • Spider Monkey
  • Hamadryas Baboon
  • Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo
  • Markhor
  • Greater Rhea

The first which spring to mind for me are:

American black bear
Black spider monkey
Black howler monkey
Coati
Raccoon dog
Hamadryas baboon or gelada
A callitrichid (even if it means the climbing is janky)
Greater rhea
African spurred tortoise

I remember someone coming up with a final pack that has one animal that would fit in with each of the other packs. I’d like to expand upon that idea with a final pack that one habitat animal and one exhibit animal that would fit in with each pack. Here’s my go at it:

  • Short-Beaked Echidna

Would absolutely love this, the only thing i never see happening is a manatee unfortunately

Here's the ones I've been hoping for to be in Planet Zoo. 13 animals. Right, jpc011c?
  1. African leopard
  2. Perentie (or other Australian monitor lizards)
  3. Hamadryas baboon (or other baboon species)
  4. Masai giraffe
  5. Markhor
  6. American black bear
  7. Spectacled bear
  8. African spurred tortoise
  9. Green sea turtle
  10. Rockhopper penguin
  11. Walrus
  12. Sea otter
  13. Golden snub-nosed monkey
That way, Planet Zoo will have a complete set of Africa's Big Five, continental monitor lizards (African, Asian and Australian) and all bear species of the world (plus one more brown bear subspecies from separate continent). Any questions?

I am not giving the animal list because there are too much to be included. BUT I will give the name of the pack "Zoo Tycoon". 20 habitat and 5 exhibit. Just to make it to 200 rosters. Maybe just a free anniversary gift in Nov.
