I think, some of you are expecting way too much from the micromanaging aspect of the game. Please don't forget that frontier is making this game for a very large audience. They have to strike a balance between great gameplay and giving the player creative freedom.
There will always be the hardcore designers that would probably learn a completely new 3D modelling program just to have the flowerbed behind a building "just right". And there are also the hardcore park managers that just want to plop down prebuilt scenery and coasters but want to manage how much salt is on the fries on every last shop they build.
Unfortunately it is not possible to fulfill the wishes of each and every player and therefore some of you might be disappointed with the end result. While management will surely be an important part of the game, it will not be the only part. If that and only that is what you are after it is probably better for you to look at other, more niche, games.
