Can we have a "just give me things" button for the mat traders?
It saves the time needed to go to/from places like Dav's Hope and all the re-logging to get materials then the trading up/down to get what we actually wanted.
cleverly elevating gameplay
If you could buy materials with credits, no one would bother to go out and collect them. Unless, of course, you made them insanely expensive.Joking aside, I think there should be an option to exchange credits for mats as well as mats for mats.

It's all dreadful apart from the one bit I like (c) elite critics
Clearly if flying from A to B to A just for the challenge/depth of it is such worthwhile gameplay, then flying from A to A must be worthwhile too surely![]()
I don't want to have to press that lots of times though - I mean who thinks that makes good gameplay? Can't the game just understand I will have done those things and let me have it without me getting horribly bored in the process?

Yes, but clearly that is not how FD intends the gameplay to be around materials. The want us to go out and gather them. Besides, if you could simply buy them, then why have them at all?So... just like a real, and dare I say believable, market economy works?
It's just more needless travelling with spreadsheet in hand, being palmed off as worthwhile/enjoyable gameplay time IMHO.
There's also gameplay and time sponges beign employed collecting materials. Why add in an unchallening time sponge just to swap X material to Y?
Unify the traders into a single type and put them at engineers... Done...

I spent the last two weeks stocking up on G5 mats and data. I was able to totally fill out my entire inventory of mats and data in the first hour of playing 3.0. If I can do it, than anyone can do it.
You do need to have the motivation to actually PLAY the game though. ED does not currently play itself.

Share-holders are impressed by profits, not player numbers. You can have as many players as you like, but if they're not spending on microtransasctions or buying new DLC, then it amounts to nothing. All part of the "Keep them logged-in for as long as possible in order to impress the share-holders" paradigm.
Grade 5s are not that hard to find and collect. It just takes a little research and some time. Not an unreasonable amount of time, but time.
Sounds like all those whining and griping want everything dropped in their lazy laps after putting in next to ZERO effort.
Sorry dudes... You do have to actually play this game to reap and rewards from it.
