Many thanks; just as a point of clarity, SHOULD I have got some MEF's from scanning the Industrial Bases on the first page?
Seemed to get everything but, including a few 'very rare' drops.
Trying to work out if I was unlucky or barking up the wrong tree. I don't mind going back in a week (or however long it takes to reset) and having another go as that base layout in particular is very easy.
The answer: that was possible from those particular bases, so this is question of pure RNG (or "luck"). Some commanders got their MEF's there - I'm pretty sure in this. I've encountered situations with 6-7 base and anything except MEF. And situations when each base start to drop 1, 2 or more MEFs in a row.
However I once again remind you of the extended locations list or similar site - like this you can find bases near you current location and the choice is much wider.
Also, you can see the usual pattern of MEF drops on the
"data" page of the statistics spreadsheet. I've just created a special filter view (named "Medium Security") - apply it to see a usual "pattern" of MEF drops from medium security bases.
PS: And while this layout (L1M) is easy (ok, after some practice they all seems to be easy), it's not at all the easiest one. I know many commanders that don't like it as there is a need to at least one climb/jump (to the extent that after many similar demands I've added "no jump/climb" property to layout descriptions and appropriate filters).
