I can see a floor...a console maybe....and a view window
So in my opinion its concept art of an interior that you would virtually walk in rather than a static cockpit...Something big like a Fer-de-lance maybe

Just my thoughts....

PS Thanks for the reply Josh ...Your concept art is pretty much all we see about what ED may look like so yes... Its very important to us that you keep giving us new material to drool over ;)

This one still blows me away and should be on the box.... It is Elite Dangerous in one pic :)

That's pretty much my favourite piece of concept art so fa, as mentioned before it really encapsulates everything what Elite is all about :D

Hi Josh
Really liked your artwork we have seen thus far, great work!

Dont know if you had a chance yet to look at this thread , but lots of great images to be found here.

Also, here is two videos (already linked in that thread, but worth highlighting again), based on the famous TTA books of the 1970s

Just ran it through a super-resolution filter, guesses anyone? :p

It looks to me like it's the cockpit of a ship as you walk up to it from behind towards the "chair".

Centre can be seen the glow of the holographic projection of the HUD, the consoles to either side are other cockpit displays. Straight head you can see into space and reflection of the inside in the "glass".

Good point, I want to agree. But that would suggest that FD are already working on a prototype that supports the planned EVA activity; and that just makes me jealous... :p LOL

It looks like a cockpit. With a chair upfront and all the hardware inside. And a window view. Hard guessing though :p

Mobius haha, No problem Mobius and thanks. Though the cobra isn't the hardest ship to draw, take a nice cheese wedge, paint in black, (the quality of the cheese is important) stick some engines on and dip it in awesome and wollllaarrrhhh.

And thank you for my picture, that'll be similar to me when the elite fans find what I've done to their favourite ships.

Geraldine Hey Geraldine, I'll have a look through!

T.j Thanks T.J I'll have a look through also.

Josh.

If the Cobra is really a cheese, does that mean the damage model is based on a Swiss cheese (thats the cheese with holes in it!):D

I've been trying to think of questions for Michael Broookes, but it's quite tricky, as I'm not totally sure what an Executive Producer does...

We've seen you get involved in some of the design work (galaxy map/newsfeeds, etc.), and know that you're heavily involved in the fiction. What other pies do you have your fingers in?

Michael Brookes

Game Director
An executive producer is basically in charge of the project, I work with all of the disciplines to see what we are doing and how we are doing it. I'm a mediator when conflicts arise and provide amusement for those with Photshop.

Michael

I've got a question for Michael then:

What question that hasn't been asked yet would you like that was asked and what would be your answer?
