I'm going to Evelyn's Light on Feb. 26, 3307 and fire off some chaff in her honor.
My wife works for Child Cancer Foundation and helps families that have children fighting cancer and undergoing treatments. I know how hard things can be throughout, and from my family to yours, from the bottoms of our hearts. Our deepest sympathies. 07

I can't even imagine what you and your family have gone through and continue to go through and for that you have my deepest sympathy.
What the devs and community have done here have made a grown man cry and truly warms the heart. You all are so amazing and I am blessed to be part of such an awesome community.

I made it.
It was a 21,000ish ly trip for me, with a slight detour. But along the way, I found some things I hadn't seen before. Got a selection of interesting first discoveries - like a terraformable orbiting a neutron star.. Got the exploration bug back.
Well done to Drew for the story - even if it did cause an odd water leakage in my cockpit. Well done to FDev, too, for adding the system.
My condolences to Cmdr Jellowiggler and their family and friends.
Visited there too, easy for me coming from Colonia region. Fine place for memorial, space there has fine view over Galaxy.
@jellowiggler I'm so sorry for your loss. I made the treck tonight to pay my respect to your incredible daughter. It's a beautiful place surrounded by stars. I hope you don't mind but I said a few words at the memorial to the One I believe in for her and for you.
The message is beautiful out there and may her legacy be one of inspiration and hope. I've named my Anaconda in her honour and to carry on her brave spirit it shall remain Evelyn from now on.
P.s I've also brought her some bits and bobs..some rare sweets, coz who doesn't like sweets! Some tea in case she fancies a cuppa anytime out there and some fish for her Trumble! I've heard they like fish
I'll leave it somewhere obvious with a beacon on it in the system for when she swings on by again.

So something I just noticed when I was out here was that after scanning every planet there are many geologicals but I didn't find anything else yet. I know frontier said there were 'things' plural to find out here.
Evelyn's poem is beautiful so I clicked on the play button to hear it after reading it only to find a strange signal instead of it being read. Perhaps someone with a fancy understanding of how to find data in signals could have a look at it and decode what's there? I don't know how and I'm on Xbox so can't go grabbing audio files.
It would be awesome if there's more to find

I have a memorial to my parents at the Tionisla graveyard in Oolite. It was a simple texture change.

My son is in his 5th year of his battle with HL and I can't begin to describe to anyone the emotions this and other similar threads bring up for me. I can only say that to read the love and genuine care and respect given to families in turmoil or grief by this community hurts...but its a good hurt. We know though the outpouring, that we are not alone too. Mike I am sorry for your and the worlds loss of such a precious little human. Fdev, thank you too for staying human and providing this memorial. And for anyone out there still fighting this battle too, you're not alone...keep going...hope lives ♥ x mir
Greetings CMDRS, As Captain and Owner of the Destiny Q2Z-50G. I am planning on taking her to Evelyn's Light and back. I would like some assistance in starting some kind of event and trying to schedule and plan the route and how long at each stop, with the plan to stay at Evelyn's light for a couple of weeks and let those who came along for the ride a chance to see the place.
I plan for the duration of the expedition set my tariff rates to 0%, and allow ALL Cmdrs to board and use the facilities, Shipyard, outfitters, the works.
I have already purchased enough fuel for a round trip, and there is enough upkeep to keep her running honestly for the next 5 years, so no worries about decommissions out in the void.
