Mercenary Edition Extras now available to download!

I really really really, (really) like the screensavers. I've been dreaming of a "starfield" replacement for years, today, I have one. Thanks.

Someone else pointed this out to me, but the discovery scanner horn text message tone is extremely extremely conspicuous by its absence, how'd you miss that one?

As far as I know the Album / Soundtrack wasnt in the Premium Beta Pack, I just checked the details of mine and dont see it listed as one of the benefits kinda sucks when some got it for less than 120 euros from what i can tell.

If FD wanted to reward EVERYONE that has purchased ED, I'd suggest open ALL of the sound effects to anyone that purchased the game so we can use them (for private non-commercial use) for example as our windows sounds. Same goes for the soundtrack, it would be great to be able to add the soundtrack to the "hyperspace" screensaver.

I'm not complaining.

Can I ask for clarification here. If you are a beta or kickstarter backer, are you supposed to get 2 sets of these extras - one for Beta and one for mercenary, or are they both the same anyway?

It's all a bit confusing ain't it?

ED, any chance all of us stupid people can get clearification as to what we are and are not supposed to have?

Kickstarter reward for £45+ pledges. I can confirm I paid nowhere near €120 for mine!

Screensavers are fun, but is there anyway to make them work over multiple monitors? The current 'saver I use runs over both my monitors, and these just black out my second screen.

If you backed during the kickstarter campaign at:

  • £35 or higher - You are entitled to the digital download of Elite: Legacy.
  • £45 or higher - You are entitled to the digital download of the Original Soundtrack.
I believe Kickstarter only rewards were still available up until the point they moved from the old backer's app to the Store. Once they moved, the Kickstarter rewards were withdrawn from any future offerings with only the lifetime expansion pack getting a stay of execution.

Everyone who backed on the Kickstarter at £20+, bought into the Alpha, Premium/Standard Betas or pre-ordered the Mercenary Edition should get the Mercenary Edition Extras.

The soundtrack at last! I've been looking forward to that. I'm very happy with it. I also quite like the Hyperspace screensaver, a good replacement for the old Windows one. Nice to get the book in various formats too.

The rest I can take or leave. So overall for me, more good than bad.

Weird, I'm a PBer ($150 May) not there 4 me

Sadly, because I really like the OST, this is true. I also paid 120 euros but I didn't get. It seems that the OST reward is based on when you made the purchase (kickstarter) and not on the amount of money spent :(

Just in case anyone else care. The Ring Tones and Text Alerts are all in an iphone only m4r format... HOWEVER m4r are actually just m4a files... so you can just go and do:

Fire up the command prompt (just type in cmd in the start menu)

> cd [download folder]
> dir
> ren *.m4r *.m4a
> dir

then upload the m4a files to your phone and your Android phone will recognise them...

I've got the Michaels books in a gazzilion formats and the soundtrack but nothing else. But to be honest I'm not sure what my entitlement is anyway.. :S

KS pledge was £90, but upped to £200 to get into Alpha testing on the backers app.

Edit: Ignore me. Everything is there. I just didn't bother looking properly.
