Newcomer / Intro Mercenary Edition : Where's my Eagle? :'(

Hi all,

So on launch day in my first ever open play session, I logged in, wound up my FSD and blasted off about 11 ly from my starting point. I successfully docked at a large spaceport and started investigating things like the Hangar.... only to realise that my Eagle was physically parked back at my starting system. *sigh*

So I decided to do some exploring (cos planets & systems are pretty, of course) while on the way back to my starting system...

I finally got back to my starting point station and landed. Only to find that my Eagle was not there.

So... I'm back in the right system, but I have no idea where my Mercenary Edition Eagle is actually parked.

How can I tell this from the in-game UIs?

Systems have multiple stations, it may be in your starting system but at a different station. Opening the System Map on that system should show a blue icon next to the planet/stattion your eagle is parked at.

Hi Toadflakz,

First off check you are in the right system (you never know... ;) ). Go to the a station with a shipyard and check the location of your stored ship. If you are in the right system then go to the system map and look for the station with a little blue ship next to it - that will be the station where your ship is located. Dock there and go to the shipyard to exchange ships.

mine was in the same system , but on a starport 150lyrs away , on all the Maps in game if you have a ship parked up your see a small blue icon next to or above system/starport
also look in the shipyard as it will list were your other ships are parked up and how many Lyrs a way etc

Thanks everyone!

Is this functionality covered by any of the tutorials cos I didn't see it if it was?

I was thinking it might be good to have a Mercenary Edition FAQ with this info in it to be honest! I was confused when I created my first commander and I only had the Sidewinder as the starting option - I was expecting to be able to start with the Eagle tbh.
