Mercury 7 Expedition - A tribute to Americas First Astronauts

Sorry folks, I have to play the "A Slight Change Of Plans" card and pull out. There are some other things and conundrums I'll attend instead.

I wish you all the best and may the wind be at your backs!
Andrew

Do you mean Wednesday? :D

It's something I'm hoping will catch on if I say it enough. There was an argument in another thread over whether the week ended or started on a Sunday. I reasoned that if it started on a Sunday then "weekend" would be a misnomer. If it is indeed both the end of one week and the start of the next then it should be called Intraweek-Transitionary-Period (or ITP for short).

So, no. Not Wednesday ;)

Hoping to be at Jaques by Sunday. Every time the Beta fails to download brings me another 500 or so light years closer so I might even make it by Saturday.

Well then, it would rather be interweek, since it's sort of between one week and the following one; and since something transitions *from* one state *to* another, I guess inter makes more sense. Intra is within; hence why I thought you meant Wednesday, which is commonly referred to as the middle of the week. ;)

And I wonder why I have no friends :D

Funny enough I did question myself when I originally coined the term, and nobody corrected me. Interweek it is then :)

I wrongly assumed that Intra must mean "between", (hence entre) but you know the saying: Never assume...

Great Galnet article and great tribute. I plan to rendezvous with you at Wagar's Reach. Add me in game if you'd like ( Cmdr Drew Wagar).

Good luck and right on, Commanders.

Cheers,

Drew.

Thanks Drew!
We'll be seeing you soon :)

On a further happy note, we're now over 70 Commanders!

I'll be seeing you all at the launch tomorrow.

Since the opportunity is squarely in the middle of the route to Waypoint 1...

I'm calling a meeting of the High-G Landing Club, again at The Mighty.

Time: Thursday, March 09th at 00:00 Game Time
System: Kyloalks DL-Y G17
Planet: 4
Landing Coordinates: -24.068, -106.065 (Banner's Landing)

Any pilots interested in joining the heaviest club in the galaxy can visit the registration desk. But you have to land intact to do so. :)

The Mighty has a surface gravity of 9.9G. Approach with caution. You may want to review the thread from the last Club meeting, which includes a number of training videos.

See you on the ground, Commanders.
